I take everything, for a trouble free visit, and the feel good factor for any immigration officer looking at me... I don't need to sit in a room looking at the Consulate, that sounds incredibly boring. I'd rather stay at a hotel on the river bank, sitting on a terrace with a cold one, but each to their own,, eh....????

My friend has an LG side by side F/F, about 10 years old, it stopped working, it needed a new printed circuit, think he was charged 5,000bht..

The guy that fixed ours said it usually the thermostat that gives up, and after 16 years I reckon it will be next on the cards, but little else to go wrong. Maybe the ice maker motor will pack up next, but I will still keep it going. Think I paid 49,000bht for it, it was the nuts at the time...

The thread is what "I" take for a trouble free, no worry visit to Laos, and as I stated, they kept the KR2, they always do, and at 20 bht is a no-brainer to get there and find they now need it...........????

Should just pay the 20 bht for a Thai pass for wife, it is painless, my wife has a passport, but it is pointless using it. The minimum Laos visa on entry now is 2000bht, or $40 US, which works out 1,365 baht. The Consulate gates are locked for business at 11am, before that they let in about 20 at a time, locking the gate each time.

Think your sticker probably states what is possible, there is no way anyone can quote actual mileage as we all drive differently....

Probably a long wait, but, I am sure the staff have been told of repercussions via complaints against them.....
