Good idea Main problem for me, I have the main blood work/urine tests done 1 x year = need to go to the Hospital, {I do FBS + BP tests at home every day for past 15 years] the rest of the time I need only my medications and Insulin, repeat prescription .. but 'can not' must see Dr Why ? waiting takes hours even at my local Village Hospital, repeat prescription would be far less people waiting to see Dr = reducing hospital queues + Dr work load

Removing shoes going into a shop- selective hygiene?
ignis replied to Scouse123's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
If I am going to a shop near where I live which has shoes off then will go with slip on shoes Normally when I go out will wear my Diabetic shoes = need a chair to sit to take them off/on, not possible to take them off standing with my sticks, so will stand at the door and get staff to come to me and run around getting what I want.. Dentist always come to me at the door and take my shoes off for me when I arrive + put them back on when done... So not a real problem -

Is Blue hair better then white ? Guy in the big house in his 50s changes hair colour every couple of weeks, from jet black to pure white and just about every other colour there is.

Why does cataract surgery require a hospital stay in Thailand?
ignis replied to Bangkok Barry's topic in Health and Medicine
Need Cataracts removed in both eyes, but until it is a big problem then wait until such time says eye Dr [Both at Chula and Eye Hospital Pinkloa] Chula [Red Cross] said 13 - 15,000 baht per eye, No overnight for the Op, + best to have other eye done 3 weeks later You have a big white eye pad stuck over eye then go back following day..... The question would be returning home... = walk to underground + underground 45 min + Purple line to end = another 45 mins + Taxi 30 + mins + same going back next day.... Maybe get Hotel room nearby -
Did have hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg + enalapril 20 mg .. but present Hospital do not have so put on Losartan Reason Changed to Local Hospital when Covid started, going into BKK via Taxi + Purple Line + Underground + busy Hospital all the crowds was a no no..

extended release metformin = Hospital do not have, = more expensive at cheaper Pharmacy many km away.... [Did try 1000mg extended release buying myself for 2 months but made no difference] Insulin the only type the Hospital have 30/70 mix, no Pharmacy in a wide area stock any Insulin, [only Expensive Private Hospitals + will not sell unless you have seen a in house Dr first] so have little option unless do a 110 km round trip to Rama 4 Pharmacies Yes BP med's have been missing them out the odd days. but miss for 2 or 3 days = 190/120 + there are so many that have severe allergic reaction to, so a bit difficult + very limited range the Hospital stock

Thai authorities tackle surge in cheap Chinese imports
ignis replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
not a very good answer if you want Thai.. Lenovo Group of China is the world's largest maker of personal computers. NUC also has the address Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. So what are - 'other well known mini pc'. ? As a matter of interest the CPU Ryzen 7600X is made in china !!!! as are many others. AMD in 2022 took the made in in Taiwan labels off. ? Maybe try the USA guess make in Mexico via USA website? -

In general, it's a great idea to reboot the main internet router every couple of months. A router reboot can fix certain Internet connectivity issues, from no Internet connectivity to slow wireless connections, and should be one of your first troubleshooting steps in a home or consumer environment

Is it okay to keep my external harddrive connected to my PC 24/7?
ignis replied to Furioso's topic in IT and Computers
other than my backup WD Ext. HDD, the other 3 WD Ext .USB HDD have been connected for years [ 1 x 1TB + 2 x2 TB] on the oldest Ext. 1TB HDD just looked some items date back to 2012, so it has been plugged in for 14 years. -

If you have your towel hanging in the bathroom shake well before using,, as for the floor buy a spray bottle [ 3 bottle's for 20 baht at 20 baht shop] always have a bottle handy filled with 'Duck' bathroom cleaner to spray the floor they wiggle about and die, amazing how the little one get between the cracks of the tiles. Not seen a big one for a long time, just no idea where all the little comes keep coming from. maybe up the shower drain hole ? -
Just got back from the Hospital.... on the BP Machine 122/64, did ask the Dr. she called a Nurse that did it with stethoscope and manometer = 118/58.... So I was correct in reducing Med's myself on the odd days or missing them altogether.. The only odd thing have been reducing the Insulin myself as often to low, yet this morning at Hospital was Blood Test was103.. but the HbA1c was up to 7.1 !! All the other test were fine and well in range
