  1. Maybe better to look at Solar Powered Automatic Sliding Gates electricity cost nothing + if there is a power cut gate will sill open and close Just a thought...... across the road from me in the Village Guy with the big house has 2 Solar Powered Automatic Sliding Gates
  2. It is all very difficult, I had SCB App on my old phone Android 7 no problems, New phone Android 11 could not get it to work at all + a young guy in the Village tried for me still will not work, so took it into SCB Bank they tried and tried for over 1 hour still will not work.......... They had to delete the Appm off my old phone so they could install on new phone !! So 18 month later still cannot use, Another Branch of SCB also tried but totally failed, they even tried to put it back on my old phone also will not work.. Before going in to SCB Branch and them deleting it off the off phone used my old phone just to pay the bill via App... big problem and right pain, as always paid AIS + water + Electric bills via the SCB App every month, now often late paying + having to pay late fee/ charges, do not get out much these days. [no idea how to use at ATM for paying anything + nearest ATM is to far for me to walk]
  3. Guess I am not alone, do you trust this A1 thing ? do you want all your data, files, photos, contacts, floating around somewhere in the clouds ? guess younger people trust these new things I like to have everything in hands reach that I can see and have full control over = have many HDD's, + backup of every thing + DVD"s and even CD"s When moving here over 20 years ago scanned all photo's + Important papers, many black & white me as a child + many family members [most are all dead] from over 70 years ago + 1.000s of photos over the years Family. Weddings, holidays travelled a lot, long before digital so was all film + print. on HDD + backup on another HDD + on DVD
  4. makes sense to some, myself eyes are not what they used to be, have used 32" screen for past 10 years, I do have a Vivo smartphone + a big magnifying glass, friend uses a 12" Tablet, screen far to small even with my glasses on difficult to read text on it, so yes 32" screen at the moment is just right... Laptops very few 17" now a day + 30,000 + , so many now 13 or 14 no thank you
  5. Use for years Advice or JIB for Computer things
  6. Bit older FX 8200 At 74 not to bothered about future proofing AM5 M/B + CPU + Ram is far more expensive + on different web Tech reports the 5600X is a better option + better than my other option the 7500F on the AM5 set up JIB delivering tomorrow lunch time Gigabyte B550 MB + Ryzen 5600X + Kingston Fury Beast Ram.. and the new thing never seen/used before SSD M.2 PCIe WD 500 GB
  7. Building a new desktop > use my PSU or buy new? I have a THERMALTAKE 750W 80 PLUS GOLD Power supply in my old desktop, I bought and installed 3 years ago, [so still under Warrantee] just thinking maybe could use this in a new build ? thinking of the Ryzen 5600X, which would be a big ? upgrade to my old FX CPU built before the big Floods. Likewise use my 2 year old GIGABYTE RADEON RX 6400 low profile 4 GB Graphics Card ?
  8. Trying to have a sort out + take items to the recycle place ... things that no longer work get taken upstairs to a spare bedroom, so time for a clear out.. amazing what is up there, speakers, CD player x 2 many old computer parts form 20 years ago. old rice cooker, electric oven, Microwave all donkey ears old This fan is as it were New, so is still in that bedroom.... Just find it odd that Home Pro themselves + different fan repair shops could not find any fault, OK non of them charged anything, but it was still the same.. Replaced many capacitors in different fans over the years..
  9. Yes > but this fan has had No use other than the repair 3 different shops, it has been covered in one of the bedrooms and looks like brand new.. it was well over 2,000 baht [if I remember 2,600 ?] Have lots of fans, [12 in daily use] slowly replacing all with Sharp, as they appear strong and well made
  10. Bought years ago from Home pro like this one https://www.homepro.co.th/p/1103830?lang=en Has never worked correct, Home Pro looked at it while still under warrantee [ maybe 10 years ago] = still the same Have taken it to 2 different repair shops = still the same.. So problem = switch on fan works on 1, 2 and 3 but all are the same speed + not as fast as a 16" leave it on for 1 hour = the casing is red hot, to hot to touch.. Anyone have any idea what is wrong or how to fix ?
  11. adequate health insurance ?? what is that ? Pre existing Health Condition + age = if you can can any then costs are out of a Aged UK Pensioners Frozen State pension range
  12. The government hospital I use is just a small Village Hospital, They Vacs while stocks last.... Normal Mid June till it runs out in July, if I remember it is around 200 baht. My friend get it done [private work Insurance] at a private Hospital 5km away if paid for would cost 800 baht.
  13. Also felt it was a bit crazy, early 2021 was in BKK and my mobile died, got a new battery waited while it was fully charged, 5 mins later was again dead.. Went into AIS, picked out a new phone, went to pay cannot name is different, can only change to a new phone with the registered sim owner.... My Partner is the owner since early 2000 so over 20 years at that time Went to a stall outside in the Mall bought the same mobile as in AIS shop, everything transferred simple..... Could not help it went back into AIS and told them they lost out on there silly rule..... I am not going to change the sim into my name as no need and is tied into the Internet/mobile deal.. If Apps will no longer work so be it
  14. Yes with Lazada and same with Shoppe Open the App and collect discount or and Free shipping vouchers
  15. Panasonic shower unit, mine looks the same, will be 21 years old next month, as is the Panasonic Aircon units both upstairs and downstairs it is one of the electric items that has lasted
  16. Use WPS Office it has been called for a few years. previously Kingsoft Office for many years > [founded back in 1988 same year as M$ Office]]
  17. Never used Microsoft Office or this new Microsoft 365 office thing, Guess for people that use Microsoft office things is a good deal.... Inside my PC have 1x SSD 1x 4TB HDD, + have 4 empty drawers for HDDs + 1 empty drawers for SSD, also plugged in 3 x USB 2 TB My Passports. in the desk drawer have 4 x 1 TB HDDS + 1 x SDD... so have at least one copy of everything.... so if have a problem easy to slide a copy HDD into PC, so have no need for Cloud Storage
  18. Younger only 74 A friend uses Cloud storage all the time, but is forever getting messages to buy larger storage
  19. Also find a little odd... higher number is not always better From Google search.. the 7600 is technically faster, with a 5.1 GHz boost clock speed. This translates to better performance in both gaming and productivity. then the 8600G Mar 6, 2567
  20. Depends what website you use...... Advice online this Ryzen 5500GT has sold out.. I use the website form my nearest Advice store [Westgate] https://www.advice.co.th/branch-a012/index.php/product/productdetail/A0157702 has gone up a bit but is in stock.. 10,900 baht Look up your local Branch and maybe they have there own website and see what they have on offer... Have noticed in the past Advice Online have one price and the local branch is a bit more expensive for the same item, there again also noticed the price online is often a bit more expensive than going into there shop and buying.... At least for me Westgate have Advice and next door have JIB so can price compare 1st Both Advice and JIB do a 3 hour delivery service.
  21. Is the 5500GT really that expensive? Is the full Computer Set, NO software but that is not that difficult to install + 4,000 baht cheaper. 10,590 baht = https://www.advice.co.th/product/computer-set-amd/set-amd/คอมประกอบ-advice-computer-set-amd-a165-ryzen-5-5500gt-no-vga well respected Company ฿11,990 Direct from them https://ihavecpu.com/product/18534/mayd4-02-amd-ryzen-5-5500gt-3.6ghz-6c-12t-a520m-onboard-16gb-ddr4-3200mhz-m.2-256gb-550w-(80bronze)
  22. verge on trying to build one myself If you buy everything you need then many Computer places will assemble it for you... EG : I can buy everything I want at Advice they will then assemble it for between 300 and max 500 baht [for me getting to old, eyes not good + hands shakes] I have a Graphics card bought last year, have a much better CPU Cooler than stock also bought 4 month ago not used yet, they said no problem take it in they will add to the build.
  23. Software Makes little difference, easy to buy a Key and activate The real question how much was this Computer Set ? The CPU is still sold but is over 4 years old + a Zen 2 Value for money is the New this year Zen 3 2024 Ryzen 5 5500GT Set [Advice 9,900 baht] + other outlets some with different hardware, Ryzen 5 5500GT has 145% better value for money than Ryzen 5 4600G.
  24. I used to use for back up of important things DVD Disks = total 4.7 GB per disk So a SSD of 250 GB is great, take very little room in the desk draw + can store a lot as a back up I only have 1 small SSD spare and that has a Image of my OS - 'C' drive, so should anything go wrong in my PC can swap drives If you have things on your computer that you could never replace, then copy to a SSD and store some place .. just encase a drive fails you at least have a copy I am old = do not understand or use the cloud storage thing, I like to have backups within reach not floating around somewhere.
  25. That was not the point, I understand why from the main road to my Village is 7 km, there was major work, large pipes put underground with compartments in, so new water pipes were put in, so everyday for x amount of hours the water would go off this lasted for about a years. The point was Air appears to make the water meter work.
