The same sort of excuse that some will arbitrarily toss out with regard to Corbyn's past history of happily sharing a podium with similarly odious elements?

NL, apart from being a fenian sympathiser of sorts your interest in this is to deflect attention from the SNP performance.

Apart from the loss of 21 seats (and 12 other very close calls including a dodgy result in Fife North East) and 500,000 votes, I am told they polled less than the Unionist parties. So not likely to be screaming so loud for a second referendum. I thought Salmond came across well reciting a Jacobin prayer after his result.

I remember that long ago time of the Scottish referendum when a group on here went home "to prepare for freedom". Went very quiet shortly after.

What happened to smokie by the way??

The KKK are pussies by comparison.

Can you provide any links, references or evidence to support this claim. Otherwise I feel that many on here will judge it to be meaningless, groundless and baseless and suspect your real motives. Are you trying to make the anti-DUP mob look dim.??

Ah yes, the benign Apprentice Boys of Derry.

"In 1969, the Apprentice Boys' parade around the walls of Derry sparked off three days of intensive rioting in the city, known as the Battle of the Bogside. The disturbances are regarded by some as the start of the Troubles."

This is one way of saying that republican terrorists orchestrated a riot following an annual and peaceful parade to commemorate the relief of the siege of Derry. Incidentally the longest siege in British history.

    Nobody said he was.

(but he came close to the latter with the 'Third Force' malarkey)

    PS. Then I found this

"Ian Paisley was a former member of the Orange Institution and addressed the Independent Orange Order ever 12th July. This association led Mr. Paisley to play a rule in the 1995 Drumcree conflict over Orange Order marches in Portadown."

News to me that he was ever a member of the Orange, if he was it must have been briefly as a very young man. I will check it out.

Yes he addressed the Independent Orange on the 12th for yearsbut not as a member.

I was not in the UK in 95 and cannot closely recall events of that year, but so what if he had a role he was public figure and leader of a political party.

Thank you for giving a public display of your ignorance. The regalia (collarette) he is wearing is for the Apprentice Boys of Derry. It must have been a joint turnout, which is a rare event.

As for the beret, if that indicates membership of a proscribed paramilitary organisation why was he not imprisoned for it.

Do you know how the troubles started? Worth the read. As always, nothing is as clear as we like to think. I for one am amazed and grateful that there has been a resolution of sorts. We DO NOT want to go back to those days. TM is a selfish bitch to even consider an alliance with the DUP. She should have tried a minority government. I am appalled at the risk she takes ?

Exactly which planet are you from? Corbyn has always supported PIRA/Sinn Fein, hasnever condemned them or classed yhem as

Which planet are you from, Corbyn did not support the IRA?. He always supported PIRA Sinn Fein, he has never condemned the or even described them as terrorists. Compare his statements following the Islamist outrage in Manchester to his silence following the IRA bomb there.

I'm told its going through the courts now, but god knows what happens there

The Park or Suan Sawan? JamJar says there's been nothing reported about the latter since 2014. I knew people who were all fired up about it and keen to invest, lost track of what happened as they all seem to have drifted home since then.

  8. All the best Mobi, I remember you as a fairly prolific poster from my early days on here. I think everything has been said already, but 6 wives? Did you never stop to think perhaps it isn't love this time??   :) Very best wishes to you and your family.

  9. Whisper it quietly but word reaches me that you can now buy pies, curries, cooked meat, bacon, sausage, imported tinned stuff etc in Nakhon Sawan. And at relatively reasonable prices. A "fine foods" retailer is now trading on Soi Dawvadeong adjacent to the Thai Hotel.  The large, jovial Australian is still in an early days phase but already appears to have a regular customer base in say a 60 mile radius. Watch this space.!!!

Thanks for that, never thought of looking on Wiki.

Don't remember it being in Pattaya before 1998 though. But then we were all flash gits due to the exchange rate, so would not have considered it. A mate of mine who once described Chang and Leo as the dregs from the breweries, has recently upgraded from Archa to Chang, changing times.!!

  12. I arrived in 1997 and remember the 3 main beers being Carlsberg, Heineken and Singha. These were the ones in the bars in Pattaya. Amarit and Kloster were also avalable but I never saw anyone drinking them.

In my memory it was at least a year before  Chang and Leo were about, but now I am being told Chang was available in 1996. I find this difficult to believe, can anyone say whether I am right or wrong??

That's why we're individuals, it was also the same price in Big C as normal Singha.

In your BigC the Light is the same price as the normal Singha? That is a large increase, in mine the normal Singha is 59. So that would make it a rise of over 20%.

Thanks Joe, this is not the first time you have given me a helpful reply putting me straight, appreciated!

I think getting the 60 day entry in Nong Khai will be my best bet, probably work out cheaper too given the prices of flights, parking in DM etc.

Quick question, for the 60 day visa I get from the thai Embassy in Nong Khai, do you know how long this takes plus how much this costs? I assume it will not be a 1 day job and I will have to stay over night or maybe longer?

    Thanks again mate

The Thai Embassy in Nong Khai? Slip of the tongue or whatever?

  15. Interesting one that. So they took note of the ones who don't buy it because of the low alcohol and ignored the ones who do buy it because of low alcohol. Well I won't drink any Singha when the current stocks of Light run out. Probably do as previous, Tiger Light when I can get it, Leo, Tiger, Heineken or whatever when I can't.

Might go to the place nearby that does Chang Draught, I like that but can't take to the bottled stuff.

Also knocks my theory into a cocked hat.

I tried one bottle and agree about the taste, I thought it tasted like it had been made from rye like the old UK colt 45 but not tasting quite as strong. When 3.5% light disappears I will be drinking 5% normal Singha, don't even think about Tiger light at 4.1% it's even more disgusting than the new light.

I used to like Tiger Light. Just goes to show.
