If you allow your dogs to wonder freely, not on a lead, you can't grumble at what may happen to it. (This goes for the Pitbull owner too.) Roaming dogs cause accidents - chasing motorbikes/running in front of cars; indiscriminately bite kids; urinate & defecate on every soi, whilst their owners, (sometimes wearing face masks in the interest of HEALTH) ignore the disease-spreading potential (not just rabies).

I never understand from whence all these police materialise. You never see one for months then, produce a camera, and hordes of photo-cops miraculously appear .

You could say the same for Bangkok but at least there are the occasional reports of fines for meterless taximeters. I've lived in Pattaya twenty years and have NEVER seen a report of police upholding this law. At one stage there were public notices at various points on Suk stating the flat fare to other points of interest. -
