  1. How did he manage to kill a cat? 'Police took the driver to the station for testing and legal proceedings.' Another successful intervention by Pattaya Plod!
  2. I can't think of one item of grocery that has got cheaper in the last two years!
  3. There's rarely a follow-up unless there's an RTP success. I'm thinking hen's teeth here.
  4. Was your sense of humour surgically removed during childhood? There's no smoke without fire.
  5. Nearby Massage shops who had paid up on time.
  6. Luckily, both owners had recently renewed their Insurance policies.
  7. Can only find episodes 2,3,4. Using TPB.
  8. Next episode S1.E8 What Will Survive Wed, Dec 10, 2025
  9. I did not mention Thais (except obliquely) by talking of the lack of policing. Downtown Pattaya is becoming a no-go area; I no go any more (unless extremely necessary). Yesterday it was total gridlock - it took me 90 minutes to do a 25 minute journey. I did however note a party of about ten police playing music, sheltering under giant brollies, all totally oblivious to the six lanes of stationary traffic 10 metres from their club. The only other cop was at Tai/2nd Road lights where a plump specimen was 'fining' a farang on a motor bike ignoring the dozens of red light runners. The 1000 baht no-helmet fine looks to have died a death; I counted about 50% compliance.
  10. Further proof that there is no policing of the roads around Pattaya. It takes 30 minutes to get to 2nd Road from Sukhumvit; (according to whether it's an odd or even day.) Part of the reason is the brainless driving occupying the striped boxes which are supposed to be kept clear to enable egress/ingress. I make this journey three times a week and can count on the thumbs of one hand how many police I see working in a month.
  11. I thought so too which is why I questioned why he was allowed to drive.
  12. Did he always have this disability or was it a consequence of the beating?
  13. I'm 83 & lived here full time for 20+ years. My final words; 'I reached my sexual peak aged 74.'
  14. So the arrest took place because some Pattaya Plod recognised someone who resembled a photo on an Interpol red notice? I am impressed.
  15. Is there an Indian Mafia forming in Pattaya?
  16. This is an excellent comment about the racial characteristics of Thai (males) in particular. Throw in a genetic disinclination for hard work and a dearth of brain cells and there you have the root causes of Thailand's decline.
  17. Are retired military personnel allowed to keep their weapons?
  18. A refugee fleeing the Ukraine conflict?
  19. True. 'Law enforcement doesn't stop idiots.' Direct policing on the roads would deter various offences which incites road rage. Have you ever grumbled (mildly) at the number of red-light changes it takes before you get past due to red light runners? Have you ever witnessed the log-jam effect where motorists intrude into yellow shaded boxes stopping traffic in all directions and thought 'oh dear'.
  20. What about Buddha Days? Voting Days? Will the no alcohol rules for 24 hours still apply?
