    i know Knightknox well, and there products they are selling...

    imho, you would be alot safer with the student accomodation, reason being there is such huge demand in the UK for this type of accomodation, and isnt hyped by say the like of TAT IE high room demand.

    as KK is UK based, they are far more unlikly to be selling dodgy products, and with there foreign inventory, they do a great deal of checks before releasing them out, as if to much is promised it can backfire on them

    but UK based products are alot more difficult to say ' bullshit ' on returns, as it could end both parties in court for miss selling

    i think it would be nice if the posters who accused TV off being part of the spam would say say sorry, as they seem to have gone quite !.....

    also , anyone get down to the bottom of who gave me den the emails?, or what ' 6 degrees of seperation ' these members had with each other who got the mails?

    You can get somebody to go to any Western Union office in the UK, US or anywhere and pay the money in. By the time the person sends you an SMS with the reference number it will be available at any W.U. office in Thailand. Costs more than a bank transfer but no waiting if you are in a real bind.

    i had to send western union today, and for low amounts ( i only needed to send 100 pounds ) it was cheaper then sending express via the bank ....

    So in summary Samui is still the same great place its always been , but its getting bigger with loads more hotels ect thanks for all your replies

    Was there a specific reason for you asking the question originally?

    My intention is to purchase a business on Samui in the near future

    That is good news !! I've missed the Soi 5 branch and it's proximity to the BTS.

    The beauty of 24 hr Foodland is being able to shop late and avoid the worst of the traffic. Good selection of fresh fruit n vegie too !

    plus they do really good food at a very good price in the rest..

    I would not trust any company not to sell data or have there system compromised. The biggest companies in the world can be hacked and what is Thai visa.

    so , in theory, if thaivisa's system was compromised, why hasnt everyone been targeted with this email ? , it appears only SAMUI based members are receiving these emails, which would show the email addresses have been supplied by a samui cmpany, but which one is the question

    there will be a connection between the members if you look closely, IE they would have all possibly used the service of a samui company without realising there info was passed on

    I understand the OP's request. It makes sense to know the rules if you are applying for a license and need to anwer the questions. Just don't expect others to follow the rules... including the police. And hence, all the funny answers here.

    i dont think it is even possible to fail the test !

    where these emails being sent to personal emails or buiness emails? , have the people who signed up EVER sent an email to a samui company or joined another mailing list? , i have received emails in the past from samui companies whom have also CC'd about 100 other emails into the email, now, people who also receive these emails may store these address's for there own mailouts.... , it might also help to google your email address, as it might be somewhere else as well

    but IF you have signed up for say another mailing list, be it Bangkok Airways as an example, they might sell on or mistakenly give out your email, ( i once recieved an email from BKK airways with a CC with about 90 other emails of people applying for a resident card.. )

    I think you will find this is where your email got comprimised..
