  1. Fish foot spa pedicures could spread diseases such as HIV and hepatitis C, health experts have warned.

The government’s Health Protection Agency said the risk of infection for users of the increasingly popular treatment, in which dozens of tiny fish nibble dead skin from their feet, is ‘low but could not be completely excluded’.

In new guidance to be published today, officials say those with diabetes, psoriasis or a weak immune system are particularly vulnerable and should not take part in the beauty craze at all.

  4. Interesting video. Thanks for posting it, Boater.

Good for karl for opening his mind and accepting others as they are. Karl is straight as they come, but just wanted to know more about something that many of us find odd. Nobody is forcing anyone to be something they're not. Ladyboys are easy enough to spot. If you don't want to be involved then just say no. No need to insult or be disrespectful to anyone.

Ian , it is a comedy series from the UK and not a documentary :whistling:

but he did have a far point if you find out your err missus used to be a mr, she can get on with more DIY and Heavy Lifting

  5. A slew of four-letter words was narrowly avoided at this year's World Scrabble Championships when a competitor demanded his opponent be strip-searched after the disappearance of a letter 'G'.

Furious Chollapat Itthi-Aree, from Thailand, demanded officials take Ed Martin, an IT consultant from London, to the toilet and search him believing he had the missing tile about his person.

But judges at the tournament in Warsaw, Poland, disagreed with Mr Itthi-Aree, a 24-year-old maths teacher.

They refused to carry out the search, enabling Mr Martin, 35, to go on to win the game by a single point.

  6. Bangkok Air have a monopoly on that route and they are far from budget.

If you want budget fly Air Asia to Surat and get the bus and ferry to Samui/KPG.

You need to book now whatever option you choose.

yep, only one airline that fly that route, and they are the most expensive short haul airline in the world, plus the 1 km journy from the airport to the ferry pier would also make the top 10 most expensive taxis in the world ..

so in a nutshell, its expensive, !,

if you are looking to do it on the cheap, or under 200 USD one way , book with Air Asia which will take you to the mainland ( surrthani ) , and then get a boat to KPG, it will cost 1/5 of the price of Bangkok air, alternativly, you could take the VIP bus, and its not that bad !

  7. i think the poster is making this up to pitch his own comany, and then using another new member to back it up .....

there are no agents on phuket charging 10 % on resale properties, it just wouldnt happen, the norm is 3-5%, unless the owner has given an extra incentive to push a sale..

if the post, and the newbie reply wasnt and didnt look so much like a troll ' proper my own buisness ' post, i might of try to beleive it
