  1. you will need to watch a couple of times, but

This video takes place at a party in Thailand. A man decided to leave the party for a little bit, but got into a fatal car crash while on the road. While he was out, the rest of the partiers remained inside unaware of what had happened, singing, dancing, and filming this video. Later the next day, after the news of the mans death spread, his wife (seen in red) played the video back, and was shocked to see to see his face the bottom left hand corner of the screen. The man's face can be seen at at the following video ranges:

    -
    ,
    -
    ,
    -
    (perhaps the best),
    -
. The ghostly face appears red and demonic with a blank stare. Could this possibly be the ghost of the woman in red's deceased husband, dropping back in on the party one last time?
  2. Candles books and beer....some people never stop whining! biggrin.gif

and how to cool the beer ??? ...

    thats what got me !

man can make fire, but not ice !

http://www.ehow.com/...ers-fridge.html works in an emergency...or a trip to the Premier bar would be easier! biggrin.gif

But with a simple can of compressed air

and where to buy on samui lol

we are talking about survival skills here, where the Premiership bar could not be reachable, but only just your local 7-11, as they are only 100 mtres between each other.....

    OR

Could a bar in samui offer the first Boat / Resue service this flooding, maybe a 4x4 version with the ability to go thought the floods offering the same chilled beer as this

If anyone can beat the quilty and quanity of thier breakfeast, i will buy you a beer ..

NOTE - judging can only be done by UK nationals, with a taste for a real UK full English !

  8. isn't/wasn't there an Irish Pub with the whole original Irish interior shipped from Ireland on Lamai?

The Irish Pub at Buddies hotel you are talking about, they purchased the booths from Emerald. Fairly authentic inside.

without offending the other irish pubs, i do think the one at buddies does have the best interior, and certainly the best draft beer selection on Samui , but its a big brand outfit

There was a place years ago in Lamai roo, that had its entire interior shiped from the UK, or maybe it was Ireland, but the place was never busy

It is a nice pub for a visit, a bit too far for me for a session, but nice air con & good draught. The one you are talking about was on the corner of the middle bar ( ? ) road & the ring road. Weird place to have it.

yes that is the location, they also used to have a load of bars opposite on the ring road ( think the where called Ankor ) , but they also shut down....

but would agree on location of the buddy irish bar, but if they had put that complex in the middle of Chaweng, say where the Khun Chawend ( failure ) shopping complex was, it would be doing a roaring trade, and make the centre of Chaweng more ' impressive '

  10. The policeman on the phone was waiting for his 5 colleagues to return to the station

that was probably the case, the police here are simply not trained, and why would a lone policeman risk him self to help a ferang out?

as soon as people relise the police arent really police, but money collectors, drug dealers, pimps and protection racket orginsiers ( oh and operators of casino's ) you arent really that shocked with reports like this

also to note, it would have cost him petrol money to attend the scene

  11. We've decided we'll fly 'Pattaya' - Samui as we'll be coming from Cambodia anyhow.

3560 baht per person not cheap, but its convenient I guess. When we're done in Phangan we'll be making our way back up the Thai coast over 4 weeks so we'll see plenty then.

We also have our accommodation booked so we're now sorted for Christmas.

We'll worry about what we'll do after Christmas, over the Christmas period... now I just need to concentrate on my trip from Bangkok - Chang Mai - Laos - Vietnam - Cambodia - 'Pattaya' Airport

One question I should ask though... after I come over the Cambodia border, can anyone recommend:

    1) The best way to get to 'Pattaya' Airport

    2) Somewhere to stay over-night the night before. Our flight is at 11am so we'd prefer to stay close-by the night before and just get a quick taxi to the airport the next morning. Have a budget of about $50 US for this over-night accommodation

will you be exiting from the poi pet border? , i think you will need to get a bus from the border to Bangkok and then from Bangkok to Pattaya...

Hope you do realise, Pattaya airport isnt really in Pattaya, but an 800 THB Taxi Ride to an Army Base ?, and i am not to sure if there are even hotels near that airport????

flying from Pattaya airport, might have ended up cost you more money then flying from Swampy...

If you had used NokAir ( sorry should have told you before ) , it is only - 2,140.00 THB one way on the 22nd including high speed boat to KPG , maybe you still have time to cancel BKK air ? , as this would still work out well over half of what you are paying now
