  1. Hopefully EU nations do the same. Or maybe the unelected technocrats are still checking their tanks pass Euro5 emissions tests and have all the regulatory checks and import documentation in place to ensure the integrity of their single market?
  2. And there I was thinking I pay road tax, VAT, income tax etc. But it was all free all along. Who knew? Please advise where I can get this free healthcare you speak of. ???? Some people are clearly living in a parallel, socialist, communist Thailand where everything is free for foreigners. .
  3. Keep dreaming... Scotland's going nowhere. I meant his nuclear family in California. Not his family in the UK, they have proper protection.
  4. Good on him for selling a pack of lies about his family to the world? For invading the privacy of his family for 30 silver coins? For endangering his family over his 'kill count'? Yeah, good on him lol. Let me guess, you'd prefer Nicola Sturgeon as President of a Republic? No thanks...
  5. Of course he did it for money. How else is he going to earn a living other than trashing his family? It's all he's got to offer. I mean, in these days of peak Woke there's not much money in playing naked billiards in Vegas and dressing up like a Nazi, is there? No No No. Much better to accuse your family of racism, use the publicity to launch a book and Netflix deal, collect awards for fighting said racism, then deny the racism actually existed. Meanwhile, mugs defend him ????
  6. Of course, if there was anything on the scale of the recent EU scandal I would be horrified. But of course, UK citizens can directly vote for their MP's and those MP's have real power, unlike the members of the European Parliament who can't even pass laws. How many UK citizens directly voted for Eva Kaili as VP? Oh no no no, there are many layers in place between the electorate and the likes of Kaili. That's the way it's been designed. Give the appearance of democracy without actually allowing the voters much say in any of the senior positions that hold the real power. https://www.spiked-online.com/2022/12/13/the-eu-is-rotten-to-the-core/ https://www.spiked-online.com/2019/07/15/1-for-democracy-against-the-eu/
  7. It certainly seems to be taking up a lot of prime real estate in UK book shops, alongside other similar releases. Not sure I'd sacrifice the relationship with my family for money, but each to their own.
  8. I am not fan of Musk. In fact I have criticized him many times on here. Nice straw man though. 7/10. However, IMO it is worth following your beliefs even if that costs you money, especially if you have 160 Billion. People with less conviction in their beliefs (and far less money) might be more willing to sacrifice their beliefs for a few measly dollars, as you have shown. I know which type of person I have more respect for.
  9. Personally I find the EU's corruption to be disgraceful, and it is one of many reasons I am so glad that we won the Brexit referendum and left that failing, corrupt, federalist project. If I managed to get out of jail, I wouldn't really care that those left behind had no vision or motivation to do the same. If they're happy with it, more fool them.
  10. Are you sure you didn't mean "impact"? That would have made a lot more sense in the context... A little bit of corruption is about as acceptable to me as a little bit of racism. The economic "impact" of the corruption is not the issue here.
  11. Not sure why they'd want to import corruption? Surely they have enough already... https://www.ft.com/content/203bbd3e-174a-456e-a187-8b4746010129
  12. I am sure you know the difference between the EU (a political union) and the member states. The corruption scandal is engulfing the EU. But if you want to look at corruption in member states, you could start with the likes of Hungary. Speaking of being hungry, the citizens of the EU are really up against it while Vice Presidents of the EU have vast swathes of cash hidden in suitcases. https://www.euronews.com/my-europe/2023/01/12/nearly-half-of-europeans-say-their-standards-of-living-have-already-declined-as-crises-mou
  13. Non fiction?? ???? If these figures are correct (and that's a big IF), it would appear that selling your family down the river for 30 pieces of silver is quite profitable. You can't put a price on family, honesty and integrity though. On the bright side, at least he'll be able to pay his own security now without leaching off the British taxpayer. Given his claims about killing 25 Taliban fighters (removing chess pieces from the board) I hope he doesn't skimp on this, for the sake of his children that he has put in increased danger. He will also be able to pay for some extensive therapy, which he also appears to be in dire need of.
  14. Stockholm syndrome. I guess these EU countries don't care about the corruption engulfing the EU. They're welcome to it. Britain was always a leader, not a follower. https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/1717669/qatargate-european-parliament-brexit-news-eva-kaili-ben-habib-eu-brussels
  15. It's amusing watching all the left wing nutters who haven't got a pot to micturate in let alone afford a Tesla, laughing at the fact Musk is down to 140 Billion because they can't stand the fact that he bought their echo chamber and installed a semblance of free speech. ????
  16. Down to his last 140 Billion dollars. Life must be really tough for Elon now. ????
  17. Great news. I hate that chill when you first get in.
  18. It's always the media's fault, isn't it. If he had an ounce of sense he'd had left it out of the book. Now he's realized what he's done he is bricking it, so he's trying to pass on the blame. The fool. The worst thing is that he's not only endangered himself, but others.
  19. Exactly. It's like a tall bloke and a short woman. Wondering how tall the child will be. Is that "heightist"? Absolutely ridiculous. It's normal to speculate about the looks of child based on the characteristics of each parent. The shameful thing is that Harry waited nearly 2 years before saying that it wasn't said in a racist manner. He allowed his family to be deemed racist for almost 2 years. He waited for both grandparents to die before setting the record straight. This coming from the guy who recently said "Silence is betrayal". The guy is an idiot.
  20. Let's hope not. He might return to the UK.???? He has been incredibly stupid with his admissions though. When Meghan finds her next victim and decides to divorce him, she has all the material required for said divorce in one place, available in bargain bins everywhere for $1.99. Much cheaper than hiring a divorce lawyer.
  21. Yawn... You said (and I quote). "Partial quotes are by definition ’Out of context’". But that's not true. From your own link, it is made very clear that a partial quote is only out of context if it changes the meaning. The Sun's partial quote didn't change the meaning. You're wrong, admit it.
  22. You quoted half the definition to change the meaning of it. A perfect example of quoting "Out of context". The Sun partially quoted from the book, but it didn't change the meaning of the full quote. Therefore, it was not out of context. You disingenuous attempts to blame the media for what Harry said have failed. Own it.
  23. ???? Actually it was you who partially quoted and thus changed the meaning (therefore making it out of context). I simply added the part you missed out. You said.... Partial quotes are by definition ’Out of context’ That is not true since you selected only half of the definition. I added the part you conveniently and deliberately missed out (from the link you yourself provided) i.e. only when... the result that their meaning is not clear or is not understood:“ The complete definition you linked to is correct, not the first part in isolation that you selectively chose to quote. In Harry's case, the Sun's partial quotation did not change the meaning, neither did it result in the quote being not understood, therefore by your own definition it was not "Out Of Context". Quit wriggling, pay special attention to the part of the definition I highlighted (which you deliberately omitted), and try again.
  24. Nope. From your own link, it makes it clear that partial quotes are only out of context IF The result that their meaning is not clear or is not understood: The partial quote you provided did not change the meaning. It was exactly the same meaning as the full quote. Try again.
  25. Well, you can't justify it - so by definition it is indefensible to you.
