  1. Actually, I said "a large number of people on this thread would do well to bear this in mind". As you will no doubt note, the people who made those comments on the other thread are also present on this thread. So your point, while extremely pedantic, is also moot. Not a bad effort though... ????
  2. Oh I have come to terms with it. It was actually the very point I was making. I'm glad we can agree that many of the "Progressives" on this forum have decided he is guilty before there is due process. They haven't even seen any evidence yet. Doesn't sound very 'progressive' to me. But then, neither does CRT and other outdated nonsense pushed by the "Liberals".
  3. OK, it didn't take me too long. The second post of the attached thread, calling for him to be locked up hours after news of the raid broke. Post 6 saying they wouldn't have done the raid unless they had good reason. Post 7 saying the FBI must be damned sure a crime had been committed otherwise they wouldn't do it. Post 12 stating it is another case of treason. That's 4 examples in the first 12 posts. Continue to read it if you need more.
  4. Because you acknowledged that assuming Trump is guilty and calling for him to be locked up at this stage is inappropriate (someone on this forum called for him to be locked up for life, and no I'm not going to spend time looking for the quote). But you couldn't resist the "what about when it happened to someone else" addendum. A simple acknowledgement that due process is required before he can be assumed guilty would have sufficed.
  5. I said narrative, with the quote in inverted commas. Saying there is a narrative does not suggest anyone made that quote word for word (although they may well have done, I can't be bothered to check 31 pages as I have other things to do today). It means that is the general narrative, for example, many people have suggested the FBI wouldn't have raided unless they had a very good reason to do so (not sure if that was on this thread or the other one, you can check for me if you like).
  6. Agreed. Both were a disgrace. However, this thread is about Trump so whatabouterry isn't really on topic.
  7. Absolutely right. It would seem a large proportion of the people on this thread would do well to bear this in mind. The whole "they wouldn't have raided him unless he was guilty" narrative is most unbecoming.
  8. Good to see Australia's descent into an authoritarian police state continuing. Banning certain clothes being worn? Very Orwellian but in keeping with the direction of the country. Aside from the infringement on civil liberties, I'd have thought allowing these idiots to wear their patches was an easy way to identify them. A bit like having 'nobhed' tattooed on your forehead. I remember 5 of them walking into a bar in Chiang Mai like they had a hedgehog under each armpit. Ordering JD, trying to look menacing but looking more like a reject from Village People. Walking cliches, every one of them. It's weird that they would choose a world class family friendly resort like Pattaya to wage their gang wars though. ????
  9. Anything is possible in Thailand, but I really hope Thailand can get someone with a bit more integrity than this guy. Prayut has done enough damage, Thailand needs to move forward now.
  10. I’m sure Trump’s lawyers legal qualifications exceed your own. If they have advised him to take the 5th, they have probably considered the points you raised ????
  11. It’s probably an exchange deal. Uncle P might find himself in a similar situation one day.
  12. Clearly a talented athlete. I don’t remember any Asian sprinters doing well in the past so he will be a big story if he continues to improve in a sport typically dominated by other ethnicities. Much like Tiger Woods, Naoya Inoue etc. Hopefully he can avoid the pitfalls that ruins many young athletes when they taste fame, wealth, adoration etc.
  13. The US has lost the moral high ground that previously enabled it to rate countries like Thailand. When political rivals are being shaken down by government agencies it’s time to put your own house in order, before complaining about the condition of the house 10 post codes away.
  14. A smart move. Anyone with decent legal advice would do the same thing.
  15. I'm generally known as Joh neeeeeeeeeeeeee.
  16. I give my opinion. Then I debate. The truth will hopefully be exposed further down the line. It only happened yesterday and this will drag on for years. It's unprecedented and hence will cause further divide IMO. I hope not. Good job on quitting alcohol though. It doesn't cause me any problems but I do understand that it doesn't really suit people with underlying anger/personality issues. So, good job quitting. Horses for courses.
  17. It seems you haven't grasped the concept of forums. People share opinions, they debate. Not every opinion can be backed up with irrefutable scientific evidence. If you need that for every post I would suggest maybe forums are not for you. An opinion is just that. The fact that I do not have multiple links to scientific evidence to back up my opinion on something that happened yesterday does not make me a liar. Relax. Have a beer ????
  18. Because this thread is about the left using government agencies to harrass right wing politicians. If Trump is re-elected and Biden's house is suddenly getting raided by the FBI you will see me argue the same point from the Dem side.
  19. 2 posts ago you were arguing there were no hard leftists here. Now you're playing the "ah but there are also far right members". Pick a position. Stick to it.
  20. It was a uk wide vote. London probably voted Remain in isolation. It's irrelevant.
  21. Allow me to clarify my position, again. I will keep it as simple as possible as the audience appears to be struggling. I am neither Republican nor Democrat. I like neither Trump nor Biden. I believe yesterday's unprecendented raid was politically motivated, and I believe in due course evidence will show my opinion to be correct. I fail to see any reason those 3 positions cannot be held simultaneously.
  22. Defination? Not heard of that one, is that another one of your favourite Fairytales? Sorry, not really my genre. But actually I AM neutral. I have stated multiple times on this thread that I do not like Trump and that he is a liar. However, because I also point out Biden's lies (in keeping with my neutrality) I am labelled a Trump fan by the hard leftists/Dems. It's quite amusing when you think about it ????.
  23. Looks OK to me. Normally they are on the back of a wobbling Vespa.
