Best way to protect the elephants is to let them live freely away from humans. Stupid tourists think they are saving the animals , instead they are making the owners of these projects very rich.
I think most members visit Thailand every year but they do not live here year round. Most of my Norwegian friends who can afford it or already retired stay here during the winter months.

What a stupid remark, i counted more than 100 in the city centre alone, from Naklua to South Pattaya. Plenty of 7 elevens around too, but not that many ,
Anyone who actually lives in the city can confirm it.
I was surprised to see that Pattaya has turned into some sort of cannabis heaven , but I can't see many customers inside, most of them looks empty? There must be hundreds of them in the city centre alone. How can it be profitable? Most of the local Thais can't afford it .
There are now more cannabis shops than 7-elevens.
Not bad , 790 THB for a set lunch menu , with starters, mains and dessert.
I really want to try that sticky toffee pudding just to find out what the hype is all about.
I think it depends on the area you live in and which time of the day you placed the order. Normally in the evenings they are very fast with deliveries in the Jomtien area.
