    80% of the foreigners on bikes here do not wear a helmet. It's so stupid really, in their home country thy would not behave like this.

    This is an unprovoked attack by younger teenagers on bikes, this is very rare to see, even in Pattaya. Note to self , do not carry a lot of cash and maybe keep a wallet on you with some baht in it and just hand it over to anyone trying to rob you. Also do not walk in dark areas late at night, take a taxi home.

    I found it, Cadence Bicycle Jomtien Second rd, close to the market. They rent out both bicycles and e-bikes, around 300 bath daily. And they are fast!

    I will try that, but their website has been deleted , same as their facebook page. Latest instagram pictures are from 2017. And they do not answer on the phone..... Anyone rented there recently?

    Thanks, but I already tried Pattaya rent-a-bike, they stopped doing it. So only one lett to try, on the dark side. I just don't understand why it is so hard to find a place. All other major towns rent out e-bikes.

    I never pay with the card in bars, only in well known restaurant chains. Yes cash is still needed, but compared with only 10 years ago it's a different world today thanks to all the apps.

    Back to Finland, then jump on another plane to Cambodia and continue his overstay, rinse and repeat. Or maybe change his name legally and get a new passport.

    Main reason for me not to retire in BKK would be the air quality, it's really poor most of the year, the sea breeze is much more to my liking. I want to stay healthy as I get older.

    Nonsense, no problem to use foreign credit cards with the app, I have never experienced wrong transactions here, I almost stopped paying with cash in Thailand. . You can tap your card even at 7 eleven.

    You can hardly see the beach anymore. Too many condo projects so it feels like you are stuck inside a prison, can't move. The whole Jomtien area are gradually starting to become less interesting if you want a peaceful beach holiday. The traffic are horrendous.

    They have a business with Thai employees, and lawyers make sure they can operate legally so yes it's possible.

    Not the same, most of them have a legal permit and are involved in the many condo projects here.
