    well, possibly .... but she shouldn't have even mentioned the 2 months notice period to me at the end as that's standard contract req ... anyway, it's sorted now and she can discuss with the new .... I've done my bit !!

    anyway, I just sent her a message and said don't worry about the notice period as the new boss will know that.

I stand by what I said .... you don't discuss a new job in a restaurant and arrange an interview and then say oh ' I can't start for 2 months .... if the 2 months is normal for giving notice then she doesn't need to even mention that as it's normal and the new job boss will know that.

    Er .... normally if someone is looking to get a new job they don't dictate the start date. She should have told me .... I'm looking new job but I cannot start for 2 months.

    no ... she speaks excellent english, and she want to get a now job .... then I arrange an interview because my farang friend has a new restaurant opened 1 week ago ... I am just dumfoundered she didn't tell me before I did everything ......
