  1. Good tip! I thought it would then ask for an upload or something but like you I just got the "all set".
  2. Got a "Final Warning" for verification for my Thailand Paypal account. But the verification link seems to require a government-issued Thai ID number. It's not accepting my passport number. Anyone else with the same problem?
  3. But most people would probably understand he doesn't want to be on the Thonburi side.
  4. From what I'm reading, Laos has now opened up to group tours booked with recognized tour companies. But you are only allowed to travel with the companies in designated green zone areas. So I guess you probably won't be able to enter Laos unless you have booked one of these tours.
  5. It was a bit more than a hissy fit. He was a total knob. Strangely enough the police were actually trying to do their job and he was trying to show that the law didn't apply to him.
  6. Laos said the for the first phase of their reopening this month they will be allowing group tours. Not sure if that's started yet.
  7. Two doses of AZ. Booster "will be according to the allocation by DMS". Should be Pfizer. My passport number is on the certificate I received after the second dose but on the app it only shows the 13-digit number. So using that as a Thai ID was successful.
  8. Going through AIS for a Bang Sue appointment, I got a similar message to yours when I put in my passport number. So I tried again selecting ID and put in the 6000xxx number and was accepted.
  9. Also, keep checking back if you're looking at specific dates. Sometimes they're showing full but if you check back later slots have opened up.
  10. Did you put the 13-digit number from the vaccination certificate in? Not your passport number.
  11. Same for me. I always do a bank transfer through my KPlus app on Lazada. Several times over Christmas and New Year without any problems.
  12. I've been getting these for a year or more, probably 4 or 5 per month. They've always just gone straight to spam and I've always just deleted without opening. No idea what triggered them but Gmail has always identified them as spam.

    I found this YouTube video:
  14. Well saying anything concrete would be speculation anyway. But it provides some interesting background.
  15. glegolo Just to note, 15 July is actually Friday, not Monday.
  16. I think you can look back a past topics etc. A court can award things 50-50 and then you can whistle for your 50%. Your assets are whatever you have in your hand. Much better to sort things out amicably between yourselves IMO. But if it gets beyond that point, it's difficult because they ignore the court ruling .... And? .... What next?
  17. Thanks for the link. I've been paying in since the scheme started and HR give us information every now and then. But it's interesting to hear people's first-hand experience.
  18. Could someone who's been through this clarify a couple of points? - It sounds like everyone here is claiming a lump sum upon retirement. I've always understood that if you've paid in beyond a certain period, the lump sum is no longer an option? You can only take a monthly payout? - Also that you need to choose between taking retirement payments or continuing to pay into the system to receive the health benefits? Thanks to anyone who can clarify these points, especially anyone who retired after paying in long-term and since the system began.
  19. You can't reduce it all to a few simple rules, always much more nuanced than that. You've had your wife's reaction and got an impression from her boss. Both of them obviously had certain expectations in that particular situation and whatever 'rules' you might want to apply are not going to change the particular dynamic (that they both seemed to feel applied in that situation).
  20. Laos hasn't opened their side yet. From January, they're starting to let in group tours to 'green travel zones'. They say they're opening the Nong Khai crossing so it might allow companies to organize 'visa tours'? But they will have to receive approval, plus people will still need to meet the Thai conditions to return. https://laotiantimes.com/2021/12/17/laos-announces-travel-conditions-for-2022-reopening/
  21. I can't answer your question about the systems. But the new reporting date you've got there goes way beyond 90 days.
  22. Some updated information: https://laotiantimes.com/2021/12/17/laos-announces-travel-conditions-for-2022-reopening/
  23. Also it's often more convenient for people to use a shopping mall branch if you actually need to go in. The street branches usually have very limited parking and mall branches have more convenient hours, 7 days a week.
  24. You still can't cross a land border yet, unless you're a Laos citizen. The country hasn't opened to tourists yet. They're talking about opening up some time after New Year with tourists allowed to visit 'green travel zones'. https://www.vientianetimes.org.la/freeContent/FreeConten_Ministry_243_21.php
