  1. Seems they are very keen on TM30's right now - maybe following on from Region 4 and 5 antics - suspect agents have been using one address for multiple applications. Not sure how, but I have the feeling it is about verifying that the address and ownership are real, and that you live there.
  2. Interesting, so far they (different officers/desks) have never asked me for TM30 slip (always had it with me) since 2020 (?). Gave them signed copy of TM47 every year after I think 2018 when IO printed one out for me to sign. Maybe giving them the TM47 which would require TM30 filed, made them feel no need to ask for TM30.
  3. For the last few years I have been providing this and the 4 other forms they require. Getting the extension has been a formality. I am not so sure that will be the case this year - something seems to have changed at CW.
  4. TM30's and supporting paperwork seem to be getting a lot of scrutiny at CW.
  5. Updating it with current info for the benefit of users. HTH
  6. Someone posted that they need further proof such as a utility bill payment receipt. This might be very recent under the new round of tightening that seems to be going on at IB.
  7. It seems that far from going away, the TM30 has become a necessity before being able to do anything else at immigration. If I interpreted correctly it seems (some?) people with TM30 filed are being asked to provide the TM30 supporting documents again at extension time.
  8. They expect to dictate inequitable terms and everyone to jump at them.
  9. The constant tightening of visa/extension issuance screams that you should not retire here. They don't care if their latest requirement forces you out.
  10. The minute heard the details of them I suspected they were outside 'the system'.
  11. Can you fill in the details?. Volunteer visa? If your visa is done within 'the system' historically that has been unlikely, unheard of even.. If it is done by a low level person freelancing on their own behalf, that is the risk. It will be interesting to see how the Region 4 and 5 visas issued by Immigration, that Big Chok is in the process of going after, pan out for the holders of them.
  12. Use a visa run service to Cambodia - go in the morning, back in the afternoon.
  13. This is recent? Hasn't always been the case?
  14. This would explain why they are seemingly seeking further proof that you live at TM30 address, such as lease agreement, at the time you make your extension.
  15. Face value, this does seem to be what is going on. There are alternative explanations. I had to show a bank book to transfer stamps at CW. Agent told me all the counter staff had changed and someone posted that they were suddenly younger and English speaking. Also we are seeing reentry permits which actually requires attendance in person under the law taking people's photos now.
  16. Seems to be increased scrutiny and document requirements at extension time aimed at determining that you really live where your TM30 says you do, if I have interpreted correctly what is going on from reports/comments here.
  17. Don't know why people are so keen on the person who brought back the TM30 (on which extensions now hinge) and introduced the requirement to keep 800k/400k year 'round in your account for a retirement extension.
  18. Japanese Menicon contacts are especially sought.
  19. Assuming you are on an annual extension, depends which Imm office. CW won't process an extension without current 90 day report.
  20. You may have to file a TM30 before you can do a 90 day report. It may have been done wherever you stayed before you went into hospital. Whether the hospital would have done it I don't know. Google: TM30 filing aseannow
  21. Don't want no poors.
  22. I think what we are talking about here is agents sending passports.
  23. I am unable to download that - I thought it had been withdrawn for some reason - do you have a link?
