  1. Coz tourist visa and visa exempt have not been here 90 days whereas the fact that you have current 90 day report usually now is confirmation of TM30 filed, although you say never filed - you must have fallen through the cracks/been grandfathered.
  2. Unfortunately with TM30 you are dependent on a third party supplying the required documentation if you want to extend. This is very wrong IMO.
  3. Despite TM30 on file with same documents? - or was the TM30 filed a while back?
  4. Sheryl, how long do they take to develop?
  5. Changes at CW. Used to be that if you dotted all the i's and crossed the t's the way they wanted, it was just a formality. Something everybody needs to consider if they are old or sick: How will you stay visa compliant?.
  6. Don't know how, but after an MRI scan I was found to have fluid filled cysts on my liver, whereas with CT scan could not eliminate tumours as a possibility. Water filled cysts maybe nothing to worry about as about 10% of the population over 50 have these - blood filled cysts could be a problem - MRI scan seemingly does not differentiate. Need MRI scan for liver - CT scan doesn't image liver well.
  7. We now have a situation where getting your extension depends on having a TM30 done because without that you can't do a 90 day report and without 90 day they won't extend. So it's not just "Bt800k in the bank" as per the law. What next I wonder?
  8. My experience has been that these were never asked for. Pre or post TM30 (filed). Still think it better to take them just in case, as I do TM30 receipt and lease agreement.
  9. ...until they get punched in the face with a new rule.
  10. it would certainly be prudent to take these if you have them, but I am wondering if this is a new requirement? I have never been asked for either, but had TM30 filed. I suspect you will have to have a formal TM30 filed - I suspect just showing them the lease is unlikely to be a substitute for that. You will need to show current 90 day report for them to proceed based on my experience at CW.
  11. The point I was making was hat you could be asked for something that can't be provided - in this case maybe no 90 day Non O conversion without funds in the bank and no bank account without a LT extension.....................
  12. Things are not getting thought through in terms of how one thing can affect another. Getting caught out is more of a risk than it has been.
  13. They overlooked mine in my passport one year - took it as far as issue receipt but told me had to do TM47 before proceed (to sit a cross desk from senior IO).
  14. I don't KNOW, but Thai authorities recognise very few foreign documents, it would be safer to assume not. I was at CW when someone was pushed through on a hospital bed with IV attached. In fairness they did subsequently change the TM7 to say 'in person unless incapacitated' (and they do mean incapacitated with Doctors letter to confirm that if I understand/remember correctly)
  15. Does the 'sometimes requested' refer to the map or Tm30/90 day receipt? They seem to have got a lot stricter at CW lately, but last 2 years I supplied a printed signed 90 day because the IO had printed mine out to sign prior to that. So far not asked for Tm30, but maybe because they can tell TM30 filed otherwise no 90 day possible/their system shows if TM30 filed and current/relevant. Particularly interested if they are asking for TM30 receipt now.
  16. If you had done it in the last 3 weeks on a retirement extension it seems you would have been required to submit a bank book showing 400/800k (and copies) updated on the day.
  17. Do they check for an up to date 90 day report if you have been in country more than 90 days before issuing the re-entry permit?
  18. Another question: Can you do a 90 day report with old and new passport but without the stamps transferred to the new passport? Anybody done this?
  19. When did this happen? Last I heard many years ago was that physical presence was required for photo, but all the other details, or lack thereof to be more precise, were the same. Wasn't hand holding.
  20. I believe it is a domestic transfer. It was what my broker calls a "wire" but not SWIFT.
  21. Must be something else - I think from memory that Fidelity transfers using a different system than Interactive.
  22. I set it up years ago but from memory you transfer to Bangkok Bank NY with your Thai BB account number as the account number. Sending to US bank that internally transfers it to your Thai account.
