You could be describing the Dems 1) Hillary and the Dems said they lost the 2016 election due to Russian collusion. When the "won" in 2020 they said it was impossible to meddle with US elections. 2) Harris is on record as supporting BLM riots and burning of cities around the 2020 election - not much different. 3) I would say Dems are just as much of a threat to democracy - a major objection to them is how they seek to restrict free speech, the bedrock of democracy, to protect their false narrative. Apparently in some offices you have to show it is from a pension and if yours is a pension that is paid twice in one month in some months they wont accept it and you cant top up a sub 65k pension to 65k with income from investments. Having to update 3 bank books before you can go to Imm is doable - 3 passbook machines except not SCB at CW, but 3 letters...............

One risk people may not have considered is the overstay risk. You could be too unwell to go to Imm and renew your extension/travel to get a new visa, but if you are well enough to open the door to Imm when they come 'round you may be deemed well enough to be detained pending deportation. Judgement on your fitness to be detained is by the Immigration Doctor at IDC. It is reported that people have died in the IDC. Someone can do your extension for you if you are incapacitated, but they require documentation beyond a sick note from you. Hospital stay extensions require documentation from the hospital, obviously, but amongst other things photo of you holding a newspaper (I don't know where to buy one anywhere at Chula even if I could walk there.). This is a factor in my decision to go back - the risk of being in IDC when I should be in hospital. It should however be noted that when someone is obviously terminally ill/incapacitated Imm have left them as they were, accepting their overstay. I recognise that this is a risk of falling between the cracks and provisions are in place, but it is a risk.

This is so. Imm are almost totally inflexible and unyielding about their rules. You meet their requirements or you don't, and if you don't they don't approve your extension. That is not to say they don't ever accept extraneous circumstances, but saying your Landlord wont file TM30 or give you the docs has no workaround in some offices, in some it does - CW apparently has allowed a lease and utility bills receipts for that address.

Not really, many offices seem to have requirements peculiar only to themselves that have not been taken up countrywide. Phuket has its own PoA form for TM30 that is not downloadable from main Imm website. Also see Nong Khai pension transfer form used just by one office posted below your post by Tod Daniels So less of the "knuckleheads". Some of us have been dealing with Immigration/MoFA across all visa/extension classes, for 30 years, and are making judgements based on that, but you think you know best despite an example contradicting you. Based on the evidence presented of a form with the name of the Imm office being included I would conclude that this is a one office thing, even though TM30 enforcement started with CM and I think before that other provinces, not with CW. This of course makes me a "knucklehead". Perhaps we should revisit this down the road.

No IMO, they might test response in a small province. TM30 was rolled out in Chiang Mai before Bangkok and I think somewhere small before CM. That said, my guess is that it just provincial crankiness. Hope all bank accounts don't have to be updated/letter obtained on the day.

I am wondering if my rejection was due to different formats between my last 90 day and handwritten TM30 form which may have had the address data entered into the system differently. Kinda negates their "generosity" in not requiring a new TM30 if you reenter on a reentry permit. Any reports that TM30 is also required to file first TM47 after return from abroad?
