  1. Outside 7-11s apparently. They are quite easy to spot, apparently, shaved head, tats, beergut, sleeveless t shirt/cargo shorts and flip flops. Always drink Leo. HTH
  2. Minimum to avid breaking the law. A condo is not a hotel, actually. Hotels are set up for short stay guests, condos are not. Most condos have rules of minimum stay of 6 months and don't want AirBnB people, not even for one day.
  3. I think a key thing here is why BBL locked the account. banks seem to do this without consideration for the problems it might cause.
  4. Rabbit gun suggests .22 Long Rifle not .223 as used in AR15 .22 "long rifle" rimfire even .22 short can penetrate the skull. it is only a fraction of the power of a . 223/5.56 load, a . 22lr 40 grain bullet out of a rifle is around 130 ft-lbs of energy. The skull requires in excess of 12Ft/lb of energy to penetrate - hence that is the limit in UK for pellet guns. Note .223/5.56 as in M16/AR15 is a high velocity necked rifle cartridge not to be confused with ".22" The 223 generally has a muzzle energy of 1,200 ft-lbs.
  5. Imagine coming across it for the first time - would you be able to interpret it? What are the rules for this type of crossing. They invented a new kind of zebra crossing.
  6. Don't forget the inherited pension ATM. So many Thai women who would be destitute cling to a guy for his pension and the chance of it taking care of her after his death. I knew somebody who was very proud that his wife wanted to marry him in the US so it would be a "proper" marriage - she meant proper for assessment of eligibility after his death. Beware the differential between pension while alive vs pension paid to spouse after death. If you are worth more alive than dead your wife will chew your food for you.
  7. It is incredible how regularly tourists leave bags with large amounts of cash and how the story always finds its way into the news. In fairness there are taxi drivers who would do that, but I imagine TAT must send out a lot of bag leavers to get their story.
  8. This is a style of relationship: "ATM by the door", the woman just continues to live her single Thai life and you provide the money.
  9. This will suit Russians who soon after arriving immerse themselves in the local culture by studying Thai language and Muay Thai.
  10. Proof of employment in another country. How are they going to define remote work eligibility?
  11. Coming back to this, Thailand has VERY PRECISE requirements always. It is not like the West where they list alternatives and might accept something else if it is equivalent. They may offer alternatives but you have to exactly match one of the alternatives - e.g. proof of address required a TM30, a letter from you bank addressed to you won't do.
  12. Agent told me if you do 90 day late at CW you have to resubmit TM30 docs first. Just nasty punitive stuff IMO.
  13. I think they will set a very high bar in terms of employer company size - see LTR visas. It might appear that this visa is designed for free lancers or people running online business, but I suspect the actual terms will be too restrictive. Thai cooking classes will probably have to be paid in advance for 180 days.
  14. Yes that is true, and they can offer realistic alternatives/choices, but i mean what I say. For example your outside Thailand medical insurance for OA visa is acceptable if a Director of the insurance company provides a signed declaration that matches the Thai insurance requirements. Try getting that, or a Criminal record clearance "from the British embassy" (a Malaysia MoFA Consul), a letter from your employer confirming they will rehire you (a 6 month tourist visa requirement).
  15. The trouble with Thailand is it asks for things that can't be provided.
  16. likely lives in a province where there are more IO's than foreigners. probably isn't mentioning a 60 mile drive each way.
  17. My online report was less than a minute until the new "upgraded" system rejected it for a nonsense reason.Take care your online application isn't rejected by the new "upgraded" system and you don't have to que for four hours to do it.
  18. Take care you don't get what you wish for in the form of a condition you can't meet.
  19. More likely some collective punishment new regulations due to the fact that many are overstaying/working.
  20. As always Thailand seeks to dictate inequitable terms and then wonders why nobody is interested.
  21. ah yes, their contempt for our mad made governance system that pays their benefits.
  22. Thailand might live to regret this.
