  1. Big question is if Anutin as Interior Minister is going to look at the 1979 act as was suggested by Big Joke after the motorcycle gang murder. All of you applauding tightening up, be careful what you wish for, it will be a collective punishment of all falangs. You seem to think your self awarded status of "good" falang exempts you.
  2. Kick ass technology. Swiss have a reputation for this in Thailand.
  3. Few stay longer than it took to build "their" house apparently.
  4. Sure, up to you, but I think you will find what I suggested easier and a lot cheaper than Bangkok Bank SWIFT if all you want to do is show account activity..
  5. Do you not have to be pre cleared for this and meet certain criteria, eg work permit holder?
  6. I buy something for a dollar on Aliexpress with my HSBC debit card every month to meet this requirement.
  7. Millions of old arrivals are even worse p*ss takers.
  8. This sort of thing often happens to people just before making their first ever post on AN
  9. You had a TM30 filed?, if you did, was the above asked for or volunteered by you? Is a TM30 not enough now? Do we have to again show the same documents at extension time that were shown to obtain a TM30?
  10. I believe the elephants are trained to suck water up into their trunks and then spray the water onto piles of banknotes on the ground, thereby "washing" them, so to speak.
  11. Could be that, or it could be softening up for visa tightening. Anutin went after farangs benefiting from low cost health services as Heath minister. get the Thai population outraged ad bad behaving foreigners then present himself as the person who will "put a stop to this kind of thing". The politicians playbook.
  12. Hotel manager? Anthropologist?.
  13. Steady on woth your termomology or the extension police will be down on you like a ton of hot bricks.
  14. The pedantics are not really that important to me. You need a nom o to get an extension so for all practical purposes you sre extending that vias. If you looked you would see it is stamped used but the technicalities are only important to a handful of people on here. I am sure i am not the only one who is tired of these people needlessly correcting evety podt that does not adhere to their rules as to how one can describe an extension of stay based on retirement.
  15. No, but i really dont get overly pedanric and @nal about the difference. I dont really umderstand why you do unless it is specifically in teference to the difference between a nom o and an extension of stay based on retirement. I asked the ticket io for extension of stay and got a blank look until i said retirement bisa.
  16. Yeah, but they still want documents that only a landlord can provide. Just showing yor lease doesnt cut it. You need landlord id, PoA, hosebook for where he lives as well as for where you live. CW appatently will accept a lease with proof of utility payment. Others won't. If yor landlord cant or wont provide, tjst is your problrem and you likely may mot be able to extend your visa.
  17. Unfortunately Immigration have made non compliance by landlords the extension applicants problem.
  18. Laying the groundwork for visa tightening?
  19. Re my post: 'Use of excessive force not allowed in a war. OK.' The point I was making/trying to make was that in war you seek to be able to deploy overwhelming force to win, but it seems the soldiers are being charged for effectively doing just that. The 'OK' was meant as in: 'er right OK, then' i.e. being sarcastic.
  20. Not getting confused with anything. That was what I meant, that was what the 'OK' was about - meant to be sarcastic. perhaps I should have used a rolls eyes emoji or something. Jeez, and you called me dumb, also it's "overwhelming" not 'overwilling'. I forget the ratio generally regarded as required - 3:1 in manpower and firepower - maybe more?
  21. I am kinda curious what the Thais who used to do those jobs are doing for money now - they can't all be "little ghosts" making more money in Korea. The impression I get in lower Sukhumvit is that there has been a decision by the business to staff it with non Thais. This, rather than they can't get Thais - although that said, I am also hearing of difficulty getting Thai staff.
  22. Likewise the Lower Sukhumvit Free Trade Zone in Bangkok. Restaurants and shops entirely staffed by non Thais.
  23. Use of excessive force not allowed in a war. OK.
