  1. Understood. Can you not just email them to yourself from the phone. Then open in the computer. I do that sometimes when I am too lazy to connect the phone to the laptop.
  2. You have to scan and upload it as part of what they want for the COE. The Passport page/picture did not go onto my COE, just the passport details were on my COE from UK. Therefore I do not see that you have any problem.

    Paying Tax

TIT, You can try and see what they say. Also, if you have any life insurance here, check if its being paid with tax relief or not.

    Paying Tax

I am in Bangkok and do not know about chiang mai. However as I understand it you have to use the Thai form But there is an english version available. either P.N.D.90 or P.N.D.91 form code on the top. PND 90 for taxpayer with income not only from employment PND 91 for taxpayer with income from employment If you go to the following website they have a guide to filling it out and allowances. https://www.mazars.co.th/Home/Insights/Doing-Business-in-Thailand/Payroll/Personal-income-tax-return-PND-91-_A-Closer-Look They show part of the form. I cannot find one quickly on google search. I did find a copy a couple of years ago. It is attached. I do not know if it is fully up to date, but its likely to still be almost the same. pnd9151_25022551.pdf
  5. Its good to regularly see the graph and table from Bkk Brian. Note that the 7 day moving average is now set to peak and fall in the next 2 days unless there is a new spike upwards above the number for 12th and 13th. Keep your fingers crossed. Even if the figures do not truly reflect the situation it could be a welcome sign.
  6. The word Quarantine is used in a lot of the UK rules and regulations regardless of whether it is hotel quarantine or self isolation. So you best tell them the problem. You showed the problem in your post "can spend their quarantine at their home,"
  7. Its not just landlines that are cheap with skype. If its a regular thing, with the monthly subscription you can call mobiles as well. 5 GBP a month 400 minutes. (good for landline and mobile but not for premium, etc). So look at it if you have to make long calls regularly to UK mobiles. More of my family, relatives and friends are on Whatsapp now the last year so I am likely to discontinue soon.
  8. Hi Eff1n2ret Please see my new post with a further note, made on the post above just a short time ago
  9. I was just logging in to the UK passenger locator form to check something and realize that you get access to the form through a code sent to your phone registered on the account. So you need to register the account to your mobile here, then fill out the passenger locator form putting the UK mobile. Do not use the UK mobile on the registration otherwise you cannot get to the form.
  10. I have checked this is more detail and note the following. The UK government guidelines are confusing. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/how-to-quarantine-when-you-arrive-in-england It states clearly that Rules if you’re "fully vaccinated" If you’re coming to England from an amber list country and have been "fully vaccinated" with a "vaccine approved by the bodies listed in this guide" you: must take a COVID-19 pre-departure test must take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2 after you arrive in England – arrival day is day 0 do not have to quarantine It does not state that it has to be under one of the programmes. then "What counts as fully vaccinated" ‘Fully vaccinated’ means you must have had a final dose of an approved vaccine at least 14 whole days before you arrive in England. The day you have your final dose does not count as one of the 14 days. If you were vaccinated in 2 doses it must be with the same (MHRA, EMA, Swissmedic or FDA) approved vaccine. For example, if your first dose was Moderna your second dose must also be Moderna. For the UK programmes you can have 1 dose under the UK vaccination programme and the other under the UK vaccine overseas programme. If you had an approved 1 dose vaccine, such as Janssen, you are fully vaccinated. In both the statements there is no mention that "You must have been fully vaccinated under one of the following programmes....." It does not come either from the additional statement for proving vaccination. "Proving you’ve been fully vaccinated You’ll need to show your travel operator and border control proof you’ve been fully vaccinated with an approved vaccine. You’ll also need to confirm that you’ve been fully vaccinated and can show suitable proof on your passenger locator form." The only statement that requires the programmes is under "Approved Vaccines" section which has content that does not match the title of the topic. "Approved vaccines" are not Approved Vaccinators or proof of vaccination, so its confusing that the intent of this section has been changed. The other three paragraphs do not bar all the other countries in the world where the same vaccines are used. However the "approved vaccines" section is the problem. I believe that the intention was that the vaccines have to be as approved under those programmes (to match the main statement no 1.) and somebody decided to limit it. Unfortunately this does not help because the passenger locator form states what the acceptable proof of vaccination is, and lists the programmes stated. So that confirms the programme requirements are mandatory. I have checked it. So the only way to avoid quarantine in UK is to go to a green list country for 10 days, and it cannot be the EU because Thailand is no longer on their acceptable list and you would have to satisfy their quarantine requirements. I am not going to get into discussion whether people agree or not. I do not believe that it makes any sense to close business with the rest of the world outside USA and EU, by not allowing fully vaccinated people, and businessmen, with approved vaccines to visit without the quarantine. I would expect that there are many complaints being made about this requirement which appears to me to be discriminatory and not logical from a business perspective, never mind personal circumstances. Lets hope they get more sense of the issue quickly and it will not last for many months.
  11. That does not seem to match what i have read many times earlier and i had not been payong attention to changes. so people need to check. I understood that the vaccination requirement was that you have to be vaccinated with a vaccine approved and authorised by uk/eu etc. The thai AZ is not because it is produced here. Moderna should be ok. If they say you have to be vaccinated in a specific country then that is ludicrous as it means that people vaccinated in the rest of the world that have received the same vaccine are discriminated against. Surely that cannot be correct. Needs some checking.
  12. I did not see any way round it and put my thai mobile. You can buy a sim in the stores. I did this, then changed the mobile number on the passenger locator form site. It was possible to do it. However they still called me on my thai mobile. After them repeatedly trying i had to answer in the end. They said they could not see any change. I gave them enough verbal criticism that they did not call me again. However, they did send somebody a few days later to check that i was at the address for isolation. However what you could do, is get somebody in uk to buy a sim now and put that uk sim number that you will have. Get them to load some credit. When you get the sim You can activate a package with the credit. Get the sim sent / given to you in uk when you arrive.
  13. I am British over 60 years old. I travelled back to UK just over a week ago to get vaccinated, among other things. The following summary related to Covid 19 may help others considering the same. Landed Sunday 16th May in Manchester. KLM flight about 1/3 full BKK to AMS then AMS to MAN was pretty full. Cheap economy class ticket. Good price. Lufthansa is an alternative via Frankfurt to MAN. At MAN No problems. Fast at border control, well organised. Nothing like the horror stories I have heard about Heathrow. I had booked 2 day and 8 test as required. Also the 5 day test to release. For the 5 day test there are far too many places listed on the NHS website and its not easy to quickly figure out who does what, how and the cost. It took me 4 to 5 hours in Thailand ringing round to find something suitable. In UK i am not registered with GP. Been out of UK non resident too long . I applied to get registered with GP so i can get vaccinated, but I only did so as I was near to travel. They say it can take 4 weeks. Then the official line is that you can only book a vaccination if registered with a GP. You cannot use NHS app without a new NHS number. You get that from your GP. When registered with GP, the NHS say it will take 4 weeks to get an appointment. So that would be 8 weeks in total??? I asked what happened to all the foreign students, homeless and illegal immigrants?? They could not tell me. “You have to follow the rules”. A repetitive smokescreen, across the web platforms and telephone calls I made. Proceed to read below, but If you currently are no longer registered with a GP, I advise that you apply online as soon as you can if you are planning on returning. It is supposed to be possible for all visitors to register with a GP. You will need the GP registration to get your vaccination records confirmed on the NHS app. I passed day 2 PCR, then passed day 5 test, then I was out of Self Quarantine Saturday morning on 22 may. I had been told by family and friends that people can go to a walk in pop-up site, but could not find any information on NHS or online, except for making bookings for which you must have a new 10 digit NHS number, etc …... There was a pop-up vaccination centre on the Saturday not far away. One of my cousins informed me. I got vaccinated there with Astra Zeneca no problem, even though i have no registered GP. The people at the walk in were very good and efficient, took all my details, did not take me long. They assured me that the vaccination record goes on the NHS website and my GP when registered will be able to access it. So I was very lucky and got the vaccination as quickly as is possible, on the 6th day from landing in the uk. Its only the first shot yet. I have to see when I can get the second if I can before returning to Thailand. The time to second shot was 12 weeks and has been reduced to 8 weeks. I am hoping that I can get 6 weeks so I can return in Early July, but will have to see what happens in the next few weeks. The other good thing in the UK is that they give you free test kits for covid self test. They are in a 7 day pack. They hand out some at the vaccination site and you can go to a pharmacy and ask for them (they are free). I am taking a reading every day at present. It was good to do the self test on day 7 and day 8 before I did my official second test at day 8. Both show no signs of Covid. I took my official test on Day 8 straight after I had done the self test. Waiting for official result. Keeping my fingers crossed.
