Meanwhile, in the House, James Comer and Gym Jordan doggedly continue their ‘investigation’ into the ‘Biden crime family’, claiming they still have treasure trove of evidence. Funny, though, how they never seem to be able to unearth even the smallest bit of that treasure trove. Must be buried deep, so must keep digging….

Apparently ‘Putin was at the controls during the flight’. Looks they’re going to try to make some kind of demi-god of Putin just like they did/do with the Kin dynasty in North Korea. Pretty soon and Putin will have solved world hunger, the energy crisis and climate change. According to the Kremlin, of course.

What is wrong with white supremacist fascism, you ask? Didn’t you pay attention in history class? Nazi Germany, present day Russia, just two prime examples off the top of my head. Or would those be countries you would be (or have been) comfortable living in?

So far, about 350,000 Russian soldiers dead or wounded. And counting. Incredible loss of military material, like tanks, fighter jets, war ships. And counting. Millions have fled the country to escape being drafted. And counting. And increasingly more people, especially wives/girlfriends of soldiers, are protesting the war, calling on Putin to bring their loved ones home. So maybe you should ask the Russian people if it’s still worth it, to pay such a high price in human and economic loss, to satisfy the delusions of grandeur of their tiny little dictator. Oh wait, you can’t ask the Russian people, because no one is allowed to say anything bad about the war, or about their ‘beloved’ leaders.

This is not about defamation. This is (potentially) about conspiracy to interfere in an election. Not sure they are protected if those charges were brought against them.

I know there were tens of thousands of men in Europe who voluntarily joined the German army to fight the Russians (communism) in WWII. Two uncles of mine joined. Wouldn’t be surprised if there were quite a few Americans as well. Arend Feenstra sounds definitely Dutch, by the way. Feenstra is actually a last name that’s very common in the Dutch province of Friesland. So he is either the son of Dutch immigrants, or one of the many farmers that moved from Holland to Canada over the last few decades. Either way, being Dutch myself, I can’t say I’m very proud of my countryman, and that’s putting it very mildly.

It gets worse. Jordan and Comer (among others), by pushing this false narrative, have opened themselves up to some serious scrutiny from the DOJ. Hope they get investigated thoroughly and if it becomes clear they knew this was false information but still went with it to go after the Bidens, I say throw the book at them and lock them up for a long time. What a bunch of morons. And why is Jim Jordan, a man with no legal training or experience whatsoever (and no accomplishments worth mentioning in 16 years in the House), even chairman of the judiciary committee anyway?

That’s a cop out if ever I read one. ‘I was just following orders’ comes to mind. If you literally follow what’s written, then of course you’re judging, don’t blame it on what’s written. You believe in that, so you have to take responsibility for it when you follow that. You really hit the nail right on the head when you said there will always be hypocrites, though.

If those are not Christian values, then why do so many evangelicals support Trump? His bible seems to contain the exact opposite of what the evangelicals claim they believe in. I wasn’t aware that I was being Christianophobic. I have no problems with Christians, used to be one myself. As long as they leave other people be, they can believe in anything they want, as far as I’m concerned. I was just trying to point out the enormous hypocrisy of the evangelical movement. Claiming to be Christians, yet supporting a guy who is anything but Christian.

What Christian values would that be? Hate thy neighbor just because they have a different skin color and/or opinions and beliefs? Screw over the poor? You shall covet? Thou shall bear false witness? Thou shall steal? Please enlighten me.

It’s all they do, sling mud at someone and hope some of it will stick. They have all these big allegations and accusations, but very little (if any) in the way of substance and actual proof/evidence. Just look at what these doofuses Jordan and Comer have gotten themselves into with their star FBI witness, who was going to provide all that dirt on the ‘Biden crime family’, but who turns out to be a Russian spook. Who is now being interrogated as we speak, and it’s very possible there will be (very serious) consequences for both Jordan and Comer. Oh, the humanity!

Wow, that’s a very sad story. Imagine having to grow up like that. Why parents would do that to a child is beyond me. My mother didn’t get physical with us, though, the abuse was much more psychological, resulting in stress, depression and even trauma. It took me a long time to discover where all that came from, and that my dad had been more or less complicit, in that he never lifted a finger to stop his wife from psychologically abusing us kids. My father was a gentle soul, a pushover, and my mother walked all over him. Also something I didn’t realize until much later.

Not really, I may have been exaggerating a little. But this just p!sses me off no end. On the one hand the total inaction of the Thai authorities over (at least) the last two decades when it comes to putting a stop to this recurring smog, and on the other hand the total disregard for the population’s health by a bunch of morons who set fire to the forest so that they can make money. It’s just shocking to me that this has gone on for so long already, and probably will go on for a long time to come. So some draconian measures are desperately needed, IMO. Shooting these people is probably a bridge too far, but I would definitely be in favor of locking them up for a very long time.

Short of shooting a couple of guys responsible for starting those fires, to set an example of what can happen to anyone starting such fires, I don’t think anything would deter them. And maybe you’re thinking ‘shooting people for this is way over the top’. Maybe, but maybe not. These people are responsible (in part) for the smog that covers the north of Thailand every dry season, and it seems to be getting worse every year. Thousands, if not tens of thousands of people, develop respiratory diseases because of this (I got bronchitis twice staying in CM), and it will shorten the lives of many by years and years. It does a lot of damage to the people, to the environment and to the economy. And all that just so that some selfish dumbasses can pick mushrooms and earn a lot of money? I say hunt them down and throw them in jail for at least ten years. But that would mean that the RTP would have to get off their backsides and actually do something worthwhile, and we all know that’s never going to happen.
