  1. Oh, great to know! I'm thinking of moving to Samui in the future.
  2. Well. I'm retied, so I have the time to trade. For me its' exciting, even in a down market. .
  3. That's because all the coins are down. I like your honesty. Trading is a 24 hour job, mind you.
  4. Yes, trading is the way to do it, to make money, not HODL. I'm trading xrp.
  5. I often shop at Tops supermarket in Surin, because it's the only store in our province where I can find some not every day western food. On SEP 12 I was in Khon Kaen with my wife for my first Pfizer shot. After that was done we went to the basement at Central Plaza to do some shopping at Tops supermarket. Boy. is tat thing huge! I have never seen anything comparable. Amazing! If you happen to be in Khon Kaen again, check it out, it's really worth your time! The only thing I missed was a variety of good bread. They have Spanish salami Salchichon, hard to get by in Thailand. And a variety of Emmi Swiss cheese like Gruyere, Tilsiter, and Raclette. We'll be back there again on Sunday OCT 3 for my second Pfizer shot. Really looking forward to it!
  6. Please give us the source of your claim "the Pfizer 1st dose already gives 97% protection"! Because this is not true, that's why I ask. I am sure that you misinterpret some figures you might have seen somewhere. Look at this July 2021 report from Forbes:
  7. The ministry of public health said students 12-18 year will be given 2 Pfizer shots starting October 3 or 4. So, what is this news about kids have been given Sinopharm vaccine? Does the government backtrack on their promise?
  8. I can't believe this, there are still people debating if they should get vaccinated or not. 24 pages and running. I simply can't believe this. Go and get your shots (men, they are given free of charge!) and continue social distancing wearing one, but better two facemasks whenever you are outside of your home and wash your hands all the time, all the time. Get your kids 12+ years old vaccinated as well.
  9. Charlie, it is confusing for most of us. I understand all what you say is correct. Still, we need to be all vaccinated, for the simple reason: it most possibly protect you from death. If you catch covid and have been vaccinated twice with a booster shot when it comes due, you might not end up in an ICU. What those people have to endure, I don't ever would like to be confronted with. So, at least two covid shots for any adult is a must. It can save your life something like 90.0%+ for sure. Sow, we all must do it. I don't care about certificates. If I get one after my 2nd Pfizer shot on October 3, that'll be good. I will continue to wear two face masks every time I leave my home and wash my hands about 20 times per day. This will protect me from catching covid. Luckily, the Thai Public Health ministry has decided to give two free Pfizer shots to all the kids 12 years up who need to attend on-site classes starting November 15. VERY GOOD! For once I applaud the Thai government. Because kids might don't die from covid, but once infected with covid, can pass it on within their immediate family. I'm approaching 76 and have diabetes since over 20 years. The two Pfizer shots should protect me from ending up in an ICU. And all the protection I just mentioned, might save my life. I'm not done yet, I still have much I would like to do. Bottom line, Charlie: everybody needs two shots, young and old, and continue like before social distancing, wearing face mask(s), better two than one, and washing hands all the time, all the time. In my native Switzerland, people are fed up wearing facemasks, they are like little kids who want to do what they thinik is best for them. They are organizing huge protests same like in Thailand, with the difference, that they don't want to be vaccinated. B***sh**! Good Luck, Charlie!
  10. The Swiss daily BLICK just reported in its last edition a case where a 15-year old girl entered on-site classes beginning of September. Apparently she tested negative at a covid test performed when she entered school, but just after a few days at school she felt ill and had cough, but the covid test result showed negative, so the parents thaught she had a common cold. Her father did not trust that test and arranged privately for a PCR test, which 2 days later came out positive. It was a shock for the family. Her father arranged for additional PCR tests for him, his wife and a second daughter. The result was that the father tested positive. He got high very fever and breathing problems. He lay one week in bed. "Still now I can hardly climb stairs. I have depressions and sleeping problems. If I wouldn't have been vaccinated (but I have), I might would have died." This is not an isolated case, there are more cases in Swiss schools where kids caught covid and passed it on in their family. Ciovid-19 seems to be a never-ending learning curve. Our 12-year old daughter will definitely take two Pfizer shots.
  11. I think my question if Thais 12years + can get vaccinated, was not so stupid at all. I just read The Pattaya News and there is a very interesting article which answers my question. Here is the article. The title reads: All students 12-18 expected to receive full Covid-19 vaccinations prior to ‘on-site’ learning nationwide by mid-November, says Thailand’s Public Health Ministry. Students nationwide whose parents consent to the vaccination will receive 2 Pfizer shots before entering on-site classes mid November. Interesting news indeed!
  12. I just read an interesting article in the Swiss news tabloid "Blick". Unfortunately it is written in German. The Biontech founders Özlem Türeci und Ugur Sahin answer to the question if a booster vaccination is now already needed. They have the following answer: "Without a booster we will not be able to control Delta good enough. It is expected that within the coming weeks more study data will become available which will statistically prove how important the booster is."
  13. May I ask: why Cyprus? I just had a look what villas are for sale in Larnaca, but it's only apartments, apartments.
  14. Well, 41.5º was a close call. Thank God, you're still here.
  15. Thank you very much everyone for your contributions. I understand that at this moment (in Thailand) we don't have to think about a booster shot. By the way, Israel is busy administering a booster shots to everyone.
  16. I'm on the way to get my second Pfizer vaccination on October 3rd. For free. Great. What do our members think about the third jab? Do we have to arrange/ buy by ourselves? A third one is given in every country as it is needed, some countries now already talk about the need of a fourth. I've seen an offer from Bumrungrad Hospital, Moderna package for 1'650 Baht. Has anyone an idea how to proceed after the 2nd jab?
  17. Another update: Being 75+ and having diabetes since over 20 years, I was scheduled for a first Pfizer shot for yesterday SEP 12 between 11 and 12 at Khon Kaen Plaza. I arrived already at around 09:45. There were many, many people there, probably about 99% of them Thais. The area there was huge. Loads of people from Bangkok Hospital were there to help anyone to find their way. I had to pass several desks, answering questions on a sheet of paper where I also saw a photocopy of my passport (where did they get if from?), check my blood pressure, and I got my Pfizer shot before 10:00 am. Everything was well organized and courteous. I didn't feel anything until about 11 pm when my arm began to hurt a little. Now we are Monday the 13th and I still only feel a bit pain in my arm. That's all. So far no other side effects. I'm scheduled for the second Pfizer shot on Sunday October 3 at the same venue. Now I'm very glad I had my first vaccination. The attached pictures show a very small corner of the 20-30 minutes area people have to wait after their vaccination. And all this free of charge! Thank you!
  18. In Los Angeles children 12+ must be vaccinated starting JAN 14 next year. Switzerland makes vaccination for kids 12+ also compulsory, there are more countries. The question is not if/that children die from covid, but If they have covid they can transmit it to others (high risk people) who can die. Biontech (Pfizer) will launch a covid vaccine for kids 8-12 years in in as little as 1 month from now. It will be first launched in Germany. As soon as it is approved in Switzerland it will be available there as well.
  19. So, you are the expert? Body mass is what's important.
  20. Update: My wife called again the Surin Public Health Office to know more and she was told that it might take some time to get the Pfizer vaccine. So, today I checked on the Khon Kaen Bangkok Hospital website and it was all confirmed for 1st shot Pfizer on SEP 12 from 11:00-12:00 and 2nd Pfizer (?) shot on OCT 03 also from 11:00-12:00. My son who is working in BKK urged me to take the chance of an early shot, already in 3 days. He will come and pick up me, my wife and our daughter on SUN morning and drive us back, same scenario on OCT 03. I think I couldn't have it better. So, I have confirmed to Khon Kaen Hospital. So, no Surin.
  21. I'm trying since three days to send my 90 days notification which is due on SEP 18 via the Royal Thai Immigration's online website https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn90online/online/tm47/TM47Action.do. I can only fill in the first page. When I click to continue, I get an empty page. It does not continue. This happened to me now probably ten times. Anybody else has problems? I can't be the only one.
  22. To clarify: I live in Surin province, so my wife contacted the Surin Public Health Office. After talking today to my wife more in depth about yesterday's call to the PHO, she said, that I wasn't registered before, but now I am. Today WED 08 SEP Khon Kaen website shows that my registration for SEP 12 is confirmed. Now, I'm 75, my balance (standing/walking) is pretty bad, so I REALLY prefer to get the jab in Surin (and I will!) instead of driving 3½ hours to Khon Kaaen, I will wait until I can get it in Surin which is a mere hour of driving away. Does this make sense? By the way, I have diabetes mellus since over 20 years.
  23. My wife did not call the Udon Thani provincial public health office, since we live in Surin province. I probably forgot to mention that. Surin town is about a one hour drive away from our home, opposed to about of 3½ hours of Khon Kaen, quite a difference.
  24. If I would have thought out of the box, I should have come to the same conclusion: call the the provincial public health office. That's what my wife just did. Apparently, I'm registered, I just have to wait for my que which they will communicate as soon as they know. They said That I would get Pfizer and that the venue is Surin Rajabhat University. Thanks to your message on this thread, no need for me to travel all the way to Khon Kaen. Your input is very much appreciated!
