ChatGPT agrees that more COVID vaccination --> more cases
billd766 replied to Red Phoenix's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
I agree. Where does ChatGPT get its information from? https://www.scribbr.com/frequently-asked-questions/chatgpt-information/ Where does ChatGPT get its information from? ChatGPT is an AI language model that was trained on a large body of text from a variety of sources (e.g., Wikipedia, books, news articles, scientific journals). The dataset only went up to 2021, meaning that it lacks information on more recent events. It’s also important to understand that ChatGPT doesn’t access a database of facts to answer your questions. Instead, its responses are based on patterns that it saw in the training data. So ChatGPT is not always trustworthy. It can usually answer general knowledge questions accurately, but it can easily give misleading answers on more specialist topics. Another consequence of this way of generating responses is that ChatGPT usually can’t cite its sources accurately. It doesn’t really know what source it’s basing any specific claim on. It’s best to check any information you get from it against a credible source. -
Well I am 80, and I first worked on Beverley's back in 1962 at RAF Thorney Island on 242 OCU. Clock up 25 years, Boy and Man, and thoroughly enjoyed it, apart from 4 month long jolly's to El Adem.

My first car was a 1939 Standard Flying 8, reg no GHU 41, just like the one in the photo. I think it cost me about 10 quid in 1962 when I was 18, carefree and stupid. I sort of ignored the basics such as road tax, insurance and driving licence. I parked it one day in front of a Mk 5 Jaguar and carefully managed to rip the O/S/R wing off by catching it in the steel front bumper of the Jaguar. The Jaguar was completely unmarked.

Phuket Debates New Building Rules Amid Environmental Concerns
billd766 replied to snoop1130's topic in Phuket News
IMHO the Phuket government should NOT build anything new until it has fixed the trash, water, sewage and any other problems, WITH ITS OWN FUNDS, by a factor of 50% over the 2025 current requirements. Then, and ONLY then, should they allow new buildings and accommodation to be built. Snipped from the OP. With 13 million visitors contributing to a staggering 480 billion baht in revenue in 2024, protecting natural resources is essential to maintaining the island’s allure. They expect a staggering 480 billion baht in revenue, so they should invest their own money on improvements to their own infrastructure, without begging the government for more money, that the rest of Thailand will never get a share of. If you get a budget, learn to live within it, as all people have to do. -
Foreign man goes on rampage in Bangkok hospital, allegedly leaving 1 dead
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Pick axe shafts without the metal bits are a good defensive tool. A good whack on the arm or kneecap is a stopper, as is a hard poke in the stomach area. Also they can be used between the legs to trip up an assailant. -
We used to send a Beverly down route once a week in 1963/64. Fortunately I never got a jolly down there. I was on a 1 year singly tour at RAF Bahrain back then.

RAF El Adem was the worst camp I ever went to on detachment twice a year for live firing practice. How anybody ever managed a 2 year posting without going loopy, I could never understand.

Who is "we"? If the UK really "needed" Paul Golding and Britain First, please explain firstly how many seats the party won at the last election in the UK, and secondly. why are they are not in power and running the UK at the moment? https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-briefings/cbp-10009/ 2024 election results Of 650 available seats across the UK, The Britain First party won the grand total of Zero. Could it be that the UK voting public don't agree with you. I certainly don't.

No they wouldn't.

Thaksin’s Medical Leave Under Scrutiny: Protests Demand Reimprisonment
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Nor should he have been. He was overthrown in yet another illegal military coup. If the coup was illegal, and it was, then all judgements made under the coup must be illegal as well. -

Thaksin’s Medical Leave Under Scrutiny: Protests Demand Reimprisonment
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Before that, all the surviving generals from all the illegal military coup should be arrested for treason against the legally elected government, stripped of all their decorations and possessions, then jailed for life for treason with no parole or time off for good behaviour. -
Thaksin’s Medical Leave Under Scrutiny: Protests Demand Reimprisonment
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It is odd how the protestors are complaining about Thaksin, yet you never hear them complain about corruption in the police, military, the civil service or politicians. That corruption costs the country far more than Thaksin ever allegedly did or could. You NEVER hear them complain about an illegal military coup government, or the tearing up and rewriting the Thai constitution, which now it seems is sacrosanct and not a word can be changed. -
Thaksin blames Prawit for political turmoil amid coup fallout
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
There actually WAS a caretaker government as the government of Yingluck had called a general election and was in the phase of doing it. However the protests were by the yellow shirts, along with Suthep and the monk. But before the election could be held, Prayuth pulled his illegal military coup (the coup that a few days previously he denied would happen). Yet according to Suthep, he had known about the coup for a while.
