Justice Ministry Accused Of Granting Undue Privileges To Thaksin
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I am always amazed at how all the ills of Thailand are blamed on Thaksin. Yet nobody blames it on corruption regularly carried out by the military, the police, all departments of the civil service, the monks, abbots and the NOB on a daily basis. Add that lot together, and it makes Thaksin look like a schoolboy stealing the odd sweeties from a shop. -

Thaksin Slightly Better But Still Needs Oxygen, Room Cooled By Fans
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I am 79 and I am also a heart patient here in Kamphaeng Phet province and I have more medical problems than @still kicking. He has one ability that I wish I had, which is the ability to diagnose other people that he has never met plus he seems (perhaps in his own mind) to know more than all the Thai doctors put together. -

So what sentence do you get for committing treason, making an illegal coup, stealing the whole country at the point of a gun, backed by tanks and an army? Answer You steal the entire country, treasury, justice system et al. You grant yourself and your co conspirators an amnesty for ALL past, present and future crimes, appoint the senate with all your family, cronies, mates etc, tear up and get the constitution and have a new one written in your favour, to keep you in power as long as YOU want. BTW, can you tell us all how many people Thaksin actually personally killed, without the sob story? -

Practical experience with 2 blackouts, BP problems, breathing problems caused by lower lung infections are extremely dangerous. For all those stupid persons who posted laughter emoticons and think it is funny. Well I hope something like that happens to you, and then see how funny it really is. When you are fighting to breathe, and cannot walk 2 or 3 metres without having to sit and take deep breaths, it sure as shot is not funny. It happened to me the first time in February 2023 when I woke up in hospital 70 km away, (already having been taken to the nearest hospital emergency room and having no memory of it), not knowing where I was, what time, day, week or month it was, or even how I got there. I had no idea where my wife was, or even if she knew where I was. Quite frankly it was the scariest f'ing that that has happened to me in 78 years. It doesn't matter to me if Thaksin, his prison doctors or the caretaker government are lying or telling the truth, but if it is true, then he has my every sympathy. From one who has been there and been dragged back by some excellent doctors, nurses and emergency response crews. It always seems funny if it is someone else, and then if it happens to you, it isn't funny anymore. -
You would also think of doing a quick search. You would be partly correct. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Languages_of_Singapore The constitution also states that the four commonly used languages of Singapore are English, Chinese, Malay and Tamil, with the lingua franca between Singaporeans of different races being English, the de facto main language. Singaporeans often speak Singlish among themselves. Singlish is an informal, colloquial form of English that is used in Singapore. Linguists define it as Singapore Colloquial English.[1] In 2009, more than 20 languages were identified as being spoken in Singapore, reflecting a rich linguistic diversity in the city.[3][4] Singapore's historical roots as a trading settlement gave rise to an influx of foreign traders,[5] and their languages were slowly embedded in Singapore's modern day linguistic repertoire.

https://achefstour.com/blog/essential-guide-to-lao-khao-in-thailand At just 60 baht (just under $2) per bottle, it’s not hard to see why, and lao khao can be purchased at roadside shacks, small independent stores and virtually every outlet of 7-11 in the country. It is cheaper than a large bottle of beer. Singha is sold in Thailand in standard (5 percent ABV), light (4.5 percent ABV), and draught versions. Lao khao is a strong spirit with a sharp flavor, though the alcohol content typically reaches around 30% ABV. It is often paired with food, especially sour or spicy dishes, and salty snacks.

Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (Franz August Karl Albert Emanuel;[1] 26 August 1819 – 14 December 1861) was the husband of Queen Victoria. As such, he was consort of the British monarch from their marriage on 10 February 1840 until his death in 1861. Queen Victoria (very good man). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert,_Prince_Consort https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_II,_Prince_of_Monaco Albert II[1][2] (Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre Grimaldi; born 14 March 1958) is Prince of Monaco, reigning since 2005. Born at the Prince's Palace of Monaco, Albert is the second child and only son of Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace. Those are the only 2 I found. -
I find it odd that Thaksin has spent 15 years in exile without too many medical problems with the best medical cover and hospitals. Yet less than 24 hours after arriving in Thailand, the Thai police doctors have found 4 previously not known health problems. He was airlifted from the medical wing of Bangkok’s Remand Prison early on Wednesday morning to Police General Hospital in Bangkok after becoming ill just 12 hours after being admitted to the medical wing of Bangkok’s Remand Prison on Tuesday. Nah. Even this current coup caretaker couldn't be that blatant or that stupid, could they? I am off to find my tinfoil conspiracy hat.

Thailand just chose a prime minister. He’s not the one people voted for
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Actually he IS from a party that the Thai people voted for, just not from the one that came first. It has to be an improvement on the last election when Prayuth was foisted on the Thai people. Prayuth did NOT stand for election and was not a member of any political party until recently. Just how Srettha Thavisin of the Pheu Thai party and the PTP will get on in the future remains to be seen. I will try not to be too judgemental for perhaps 3 months of so, and see if he can control Prawit and Anutin. Both of their plans seen to be scuttled at the moment. -
I met my wife when I first got to Thailand to work with AIS in 1993, 7 years before we married. She and her mate ran the kitchen i the bar I used to drink in. I was here for 3 months and went off to work elsewhere. I came back in 1994 working with DTAC. I met her family and she met with my first wife and son in 1997. I went off elsewhere and I divorced my UK wife. We married in the UK in 2000 when I was working in France, then I went to Germany and back to Thailand in 2001 to 2004. I bought the Ford Ranger in 2001 and she owned some land in Kamphaeng Phet and I had bought the plot next door. I sent her off to build the house in 2003. Strangely enough she never asked me to marry her, buy her the other piece of land in 1996 or build the house.

Count the number of successful marriages and the number of Thai families, and then compare that with the number of unsuccessful marriages and the number of Thai families.
