  1. It would be nice if you did some research before posting untruths. quote 'India is very developed country and everyone is working hard and earning' https://www.forbesindia.com/article/explainers/unemployment-rate-in-india/87441/1#:~:text=According to the recent Bloomberg, significant changes in economic conditions. According to the recent Bloomberg report that references data from the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) for July, the overall unemployment rate in India is 7.95 percent as of July 2023. So much for your claim that everybody is working hard. quote 'and even the British Royal Family are being paid by your tax money.' another lie from you https://renews.biz/86708/crown-estate-posts-record-annual-profits/#:~:text=Crown Estate has recorded over, increase on the previous year's. What happens to the revenue from the Crown Estate? Under the Act The Crown Estate continues to give its entire annual surplus (net profit) to the Treasury. The Act simply provides a mechanism that will be used by the Treasury to determine the amount of Government funding for the Monarch by reference to the amount of our annual surplus. quote 'Soo better fight for your right in your country and don’t interfere and spread fake propoganda about INDIA '. Are you telling every poster what they can and cannot write? Who promoted you to the position of Grand Poo Baa? This is a discussion forum where every poster has the right to express their own opinion, and not a forum where YOU dictate the content.
  2. What benefits would they be? The benefits that I, those companies I worked for and the governments at the time paid for. They are NOT benefits and neither you or any politicians' can make them a benefit, simply by saying so.
  3. You may not have noticed but the Indian government has been running the country since partition in 1947, some 76 years. So please do not foist their bad choices and judgements on the west and the UK in particular. It has been India's choice for the last 76 years. BTW are you responsible for what your father, grandfather etc did during their lives? Am I responsible for what my children do? If you want to enjoy a guilt trip, then please do and share it with those people like you.
  4. Every week or so there is a horrendous train crash in which people die, floods and droughts across the country. people are dying of starvation, yet cows (and many people) are considered untouchable. India has a huge military and even nuclear weapons. Yet they are still grabbing as much international foreign aid as they can. Then most weeks there are news items like this. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-66629952 Police in India are investigating a video that shows a school teacher telling her pupils to slap their seven-year-old Muslim classmate. The boy is filmed in tears as he is slapped, allegedly for getting his times tables wrong. The video went viral on social media, and has triggered widespread dismay and condemnation. "Why are you hitting him so lightly? Hit him hard," the teacher is heard telling the children, as the boy stands crying. "Start hitting him on the waist... His face is turning red, hit him on the waist instead," she added. Authorities in India confirmed the video was real, and said they would take action.
  5. Is this the best response that you can come up with? It seems to me that you are the one who should be totally embarrassed.
  6. Millions of MAGA supporters will believe it.
  7. It depends how busy the road is. Messing about with electricity in the dark is not something that I would want to do, and is more likely to look suspicious than if done during daylight hours Monday to Friday.
  8. quote "When will be the right time to make a judgement?" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Union How long was the UK in the Common Market and then after it morphed into the EU? The UK joined the CM in 1973 and the EU itself proper evolved in 1993. A referendum in the UK on its membership of the European Union was held in 2016, with 51.9 percent of participants voting to leave. That was about 23 years. The UK formally notified the European Council of its decision to leave on 29 March 2017, initiating the formal withdrawal procedure for leaving the EU; following extensions to the process, the UK left the European Union on 31 January 2020, though most areas of EU law continued to apply to the UK for a transition period which lasted until 31 December 2020. The UK was formally a member of the EU for 23 years and has been an ex member for 4 years at most. IMHO a referendum should wait for at least 10 years, until say 2030 which is less than half the time that the UK was a member, or if you include the time in the CM and EU together, that is 43 years. Yet people seem 1 to want instant change, and 2 instant change is impossible. What I think is that neither David Cameron, Theresa May, Liz Truss nor Rishi Sunak were against the EU. Boris Johnson became the PM who took the UK out of the EU but I don't think he really knew what to do next. 2 years of Covid didn't help any country worldwide progress anywhere. So if I amy revise my estimate I would suggest that a referendum be held in 2032. Between now and then an independent commission be started to decide on 1 What questions need to be asked about rejoining 2 Who will be eligible to vote 3 What percentage is to be the pass/fail mark 4 Does that percentage have to be an absolute number. For example a minimum of say 60 % of all votes cast, or only unspoiled votes etc 5 Should the referendum fail, how long before another, if any, is to be be considered 6 If the referendum is successful, what should happen if the EU rejects the application 7 What will the likely cost of the referendum be 8 What will the likely cost of rejoining the EU be
  9. How convenient that there was a CC camera in the vicinity to record the crash.
  10. Please try to get peoples names correct. It was printed in bold in the first line of the OP post. Prayuth has had over 9 years to do something about that. So far he has achieved nothing in those 9 years.
  11. IMHO Brexit is at this time neither a success nor a failure. What IS a failure is the quality of the politicians who have not implemented it properly. OTOH, if there is another referendum to rejoin the EU, who says that they will let us back in, and if they do, what will it cost the UK?
  12. To quote from Oliver Cromwell when he was dissolving the UK parliament in 1653. By the 1650s, Oliver Cromwell’s trust in Britain’s Parliament was waning. As he saw it, the Long Parliament’s remaining members, known as the Rump Parliament, were legislating to ensure their own survival rather than to serve the will of the people. On 20 April 1653, Cromwell stormed into the Commons Chambers with a party of armed guards in tow. He then ejected, through force, the remaining members of the Rump Parliament. https://www.historyhit.com/in-the-name-of-god-go-significance/ “You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of (your) God, Go.” This seems to ring a bell here in Thailand.
  13. quote "When confronted, the neighbour admitted to the act but claimed it was a misunderstanding, believing it was their own meter". BS. EVERY electric bill has the meter number on it. In addition there is normally only 1 pair of cables on the output of the meter. To pair from your neighbours meter an extra pair of cables must be deliberately physically connected to the meter output. It was no "simple mistake", just simply theft.
  14. Would that be from the ground floor or the first floor, (if you are from the USA)?
  15. I managed to confirm with Kamphaeng Phet Immigration yesterday, that with 8 months left on my passport that I will get my marriage extension renewed. But only until June 16 2024 which is the expiry date. I need a new passport by then, so I can do that in the new year. YMMV
  16. Just clear the offices of all the junk that does not belong to the government, chuck it in cardboard boxes, dump them in the car park, labelled of course, and tell the owners that if it not collected in 72 hours, they may find it it the skip, if it hasn't been cleared. If they arrive in a government vehicle, park it, clamp it and remove the keys from the driver.
  17. How could I forget? At 79 I can get up from my desk to get something from the fridge and have forgotten what it was when I got there, Quite often I have gone back to my desk and remember what it was though.
  18. You may have missed this from my post, ALL of these are illegal plus many more yet they happen on a daily basis. Without rigorous, fair and equal treatment across ALL the people, you can make as many laws as you like, but without enforcement, they will simply be ignored. Stopping corruption, reforming the military, the police, the civil service, returning peace and reconciliation to the people were among the reasons given by Prayuth for the 2014 coup. Here we are, over 9 years, 2 elections and a badly flawed constitution later, and with all the power at his disposal, including being the minister of everything, he still can't fix the price of the lottery tickets. In fact the only thing he HAS managed to do is to appoint his family, cronies and mates to become overpaid and totally useless senators. The only thing that they have achieved is to screw Thailand ever deeper in the morass with the latest election fiasco. He has wasted 9 years of opportunity for Thailand.
  19. To misquote an old Queen song. All we hear is Fox News Blah Blah, TV Ga Ga, All we hear is Fox News Blah Blah, Fox News Blah Blah The only people that seem to watch it are the MAGA and truth Social supporters, and they not only believe it, but swear it is true, and that everything else is a lie.
  20. Especially as he inherited from Trump who committed to it and then kicked the whole mess down the road for a responsible President to sort out. Here I go again. You claim it, you prove it. Or will I have to wait like all the other claims you have made and not yet complied with.
  21. He believes in anything that attempts to smear President Biden, but he NEVER comes up with proof.
  22. Scouting in most countries worldwide is voluntary. In Thailand it is compulsory at schools and is not proper scouting.
  23. Military coups are illegal as well but that doesn't stop them happening. Riding a motorbike/driving a car without a licence Riding a motorbike with no helmet Riding a motorbike with 3 or more up Prostitution Gambling except the legal lottery Begging Bribery Corruption ALL of these are illegal plus many more yet they happen on a daily basis. Merely saying that it is illegal without doing something, is akin to King Knut demanding that the tide stop coming in.
  24. I am always amazed at how all the ills of Thailand are blamed on Thaksin. Yet nobody blames it on corruption regularly carried out by the military, the police, all departments of the civil service, the monks, abbots and the NOB on a daily basis. Add that lot together, and it makes Thaksin look like a schoolboy stealing the odd sweeties from a shop.
