You must live in a tourist area. When I go to the local markets here in rural Kamphaeng Phet the same price as my wife who is Thai. Most of the stuff has a marked price, and if it is not marked, I can understand enough Thai to get the idea of the prices the locals pay, and 99% of the time I get asked the same price. If they try to charge me more I offer the same price that the local paid before me. If they want more i just shake my head, smile and walk away. There are not that many farangs out here, and the regular traders know and remember most of us.

The Memo: Judge scrambles election with decision on Trump trial date
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
IMO the judge reminded Trump the she is in charge and not him. As can be seen, a few posters don't like the truth and believe that Trump should be allowed to do whatever HE wants, with no comeback. No ordinary citizen would be treated with kid gloves like this. -
Have you ever met Thaksin, met the doctors and talked with them, done a medical examination of Thaksin or read any of his medical documents? I haven't but I do take my BP every day and have done since I had 2 stents put in during 2006. I also exercise for about 1 1/2 hours a day and I can see the difference in my BP, after exercise and around an hour later after resting. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=UK+NHS+exercises+for+the+elderly&sca_esv=560901828&sxsrf=AB5stBivvtdYz4UnLoXKXfcR-seu0HnyVw%3A1693286875192&ei=24HtZJCmC8e94-EP9Ken2AE&ved=0ahUKEwjQ_8qVkYGBAxXH3jgGHfTTCRsQ4dUDCBA&oq=UK+NHS+exercises+for+the+elderly&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiIFVLIE5IUyBleGVyY2lzZXMgZm9yIHRoZSBlbGRlcmx5SABQAFgAcAB4AZABAJgBAKABAKoBALgBDMgBAOIDBBgAIEE&sclient=gws-wiz-serp https://www.actionforelders.org.uk/exercise/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwi7GnBhDXARIsAFLvH4lclluy9Uggys_D6nKwyCYy4snGoLd20LzgbqDVJs5xPO9ixoUEtdwaAibkEALw_wcB I would recommend that anyone over the age of 70 or those who have seen a doctor about their heart problems, to buy a BP machine and do a BP check daily. Once a week I also do a blood sugar test before eating, to check my Fasting Blood Sugar level as a check for diabetes. . I also weigh myself daily. Simple health precautions, and to do it is up to you and nobody else. It may save your life one day.

There you go again, putting YOUR words into my mouth. Please post when I said that. I didn't say that anyway.

No, WE don't. Please speak for yourself and NOT for anybody else. You certainly don't speak for me. Not everybody agrees with you.

Trump decries federal ‘fascist thugs’ despite judge’s warnings
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Don't take any more of his crap. Simply give him 14 days in jail for contempt of court. If he is not stopped now he will keep doing it. If he does double the jail time for EVERY time he does it. Ignore the cries of witch hunt. Treat him like any other normal citizen.- 117 replies

Worst Joke Ever 2025

Lord Rockingham's Xl from the 1950s. -
I understand that hope is an emotion, but emotions are not facts or proof of anything. I have 2 hopes. 1 That Donald Trump goes to jail for the rest of his natural life, The chances of that are high given the preponderance of facts and evidence against him. 2 I hope to win the lottery and the chance of that is very low, but still higher than that of President Biden being found guilty of some spurious and unspecified charges that have not been brought, or even found yet.

170 Systolic whilst resting according to my Microlife BP tester is in the high range and it is suggested that the person concerned sees a doctor fairly quickly. This should have been picked a while ago if Thaksin or his doctor was monitoring Thaksin's BP on a daily basis. At least if this is true, Thaksin is in hospital where doctors are on call and medicines are quickly available. https://www.healthcentral.com/article/blood-pressure-high-hypertension "Very High Range - Stage 2 Hypertension Systolic (top) blood pressure 160 mm Hg or high Diastolic (bottom) blood pressure 100 mm Hg or higher If in this range you have hypertension (high blood pressure)." A blood pressure of 170/100 falls into the very high range. You should definitely follow up with your doctor about your blood pressure to see what kind of medication and lifestyle changes you can use to lower it. Untreated high blood pressure can greatly increase a person's risk of having a stroke and other health problems. https://www.fda.gov/drugs/special-features/high-blood-pressure-understanding-silent-killer Normal pressure is 120/80 or lower. Your blood pressure is considered high (stage 1) if it reads 130/80. Stage 2 high blood pressure is 140/90 or higher. If you get a blood pressure reading of 180/110 or higher more than once, seek medical treatment right away. A reading this high is considered “hypertensive crisis.”

More allegations but NO proof. Keep clutching at straws and slinging mud because, who knows, you might get it right one day. IMHO you are nothing but a troll, and a poor one at that. BTW please note that I am only speaking for me, and NOT 'we'. I cannot speak for other people and neither can you. Some posters may agree with me and some may not. The choice is theirs alone to make. It is NOT mine, yours or anybody else's choice.
-
I will ask you as I have repeatedly asked @SunnyinBangrak. Where is your proof? I never expect the truth or proof from him anyway.

Wow. The Daily Wail and Faux News in the same post. You really are scraping the bottom of the barrel, aren't you? No proof as usual,

Public support for new Brexit referendum revealed
billd766 replied to Social Media's topic in World News
A lot depends on what the many agreements would be. A lot will also depend on what the EU would demand from the UK as the price of entry. Some would be good for the UK and others not so good. I have no idea what agreements Switzerland has with the EU. -

I don't expect that would be the conservatives and probably not labour. That just leaves the also rans and the wacky fringe people.
