  1. It doesn't matter that much if the pistol is licensed or not. He most probably does not have a licence to carry it, especially in a public place, and the street IS a public place where the car was parked. Nor does it take much to lift the pistol into a firing position and pull the trigger. Why are you making excuses for him?
  2. It is a bit late looking for an armed policeman at that point.
  3. The query was, Is there parking available at the Trendy office building in Bangkok for VFS customers? Some posters say yes there is, and some say no there isn't. It is a simple yes/no question and answer. If you don't know for sure, please don't respond to this post. There may well be parking at the Hyatt Regency across the road, but how would I get to Trendy, bearing in mind I have a problem walking, even with a zimmer frame.
  4. Correct. You are only the owner of the vehicle once it has been fully paid for.
  5. IMHO the debtor could be described as a fee'jit. Not only because the car was bought more for face than anything else, for carrying a gun in a public place, but for threatening the repo guy and being filmed and posted on the social media.
  6. I am working on that but it is the weekend so nothing much will happen before Monday.
  7. That is what I thought. My extension is due for renewal on 31 October 2023 (I normally go in a couple of weeks early) and my passport expires on 17 June 2024 about 8 months later.
  8. My problem is that I can only walk about 25 metres before I need to sit for a minute or 2. Fortunately my zimmer frame has a detachable seat. That is why I am querying parking at the Trendy office building.
  9. The last time I renewed my passport through Hong Kong I had to call a friend in the UK and use her card details then I repaid her by a bank transfer from KBank.
  10. IMHO, yes it should be tossed along with the current coup derived government and all the appointed senators. Having said that nobody listens to me anyway.
  11. Mostly in response to your incorrect biased posts.
  12. So why do you keep bleating about Thaksin?
  13. I renewed my 90 day report this morning at the Kamphaeng Phet IO office. My extension expires on 31 October 2023, my 90 report expires on 15 November 2023 and my passport expires on 17 June 2024. On the way out the lady IO told my wife that I need a new passport before the extension is renewed. I was under the impression that my extension would be renewed up to the expiry date of my passport. My wife didn't tell me that until we were half way home. My query is simple. Am I correct or is the IO correct? If I am correct I have 8 months on my next extension. If I am wrong then I have 10 weeks or less to renew my passport.
  14. Does this answer your question? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coup_d'état#:~:text=A coup d'état (%2F,to unseat the incumbent leader. A coup d'état (/ˌkuːdeɪˈtɑː/ (listen); French for 'stroke of state'[1]), or simply a coup, is an illegal and overt attempt by the military or other government elites to unseat the incumbent leader.[2][3] A self-coup is when a leader, having come to power through legal means, tries to stay in power through illegal means.
  15. Probably because the CC is under the direct control of the minister for everything who gives the CC their orders.
  16. Did you read the topic of the thread, and if you bothered did you realise that Thailand IS the only country that country that is being talked about? Poor try at a diversion.
  17. If he played by the junta's rules and took over Thailand by a civil revolution (aka a coup), he would be following the junta rules. With the military in charge, nice guys who play by normal rules cannot win.
  18. Of course it is not typical. However it is if you want it to be. If I were that lady's boss I would have helped in anyway I could. Perhaps that is just me though.
  19. And what punishment would you give the generals of every military coup, who stole the whole country at the point of a gun, backed up by tanks. Not only did they steal the whole country, they hijacked the justice system as well. They even granted themselves a pardon for ALL past present and future acts. Which is the greater crime?
  20. Of course crime pays. Why do you think there have been so many coups?
  21. Of course they do, every time there is an illegal coup. Tell that to Pita and the MFP. Tell that to Thanathorn and the FFP. Tell that to Yingluck and the PTP.
  22. I have nothing but respect for anybody trying to communicate in a second language in their own country. Good for him and not good for Neeranam. If Thais don't understand him while he is speaking Thai to them, perhaps his proficiency in spoken Thai is somewhat lacking. I know my spoken Thai is lacking. and I also know that the fault is mine.
  23. He is probably speaking his version of HiSo Thai. ????
