Isn't doing a little research useful. Facts are always useful and there are so many links out on the internet if a poster can be bothered to look, instead of blundering about as several posters here do and get their unverified "facts" wrong as usual.

He has a strong and trusted set of bodyguards. But then again so did Indira Ghandi who was PM of India until 31 October 1984, two of Gandhi's Sikh bodyguards, Satwant Singh and Beant Singh, shot her with their service weapons in the garden of the prime minister's residence at 1 Safdarjung Road, New Delhi, allegedly in revenge for Operation Blue Star.[109] The shooting occurred as she was walking past a wicket gate guarded by the two men. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indira_Gandhi

There comes a time when we all have to face reality and mine was waking up in hospital with no idea why I was there or how I got there. What scares me is that if I did drive, I may black out again, have an accident and kill some innocent person and not even know I had done it. It is easier to quit while I am ahead.

The Great Government Health system that Thailand Has. !
billd766 replied to Mark mark's topic in Health and Medicine
One time I went to the hospital and I was short of breath and having a breathing problem, I was registered, given a red ticket, and whipped straight into the emergency room. The service was great and nobody seemed to mind me getting instant treatment. There were about 70 odd people in front of me. -
The Great Government Health system that Thailand Has. !
billd766 replied to Mark mark's topic in Health and Medicine
I use the local government hospital about 13 km down the road in Klong Nam Lai, Kamphaeng Phet province, and the main one in Kamphaeng Phet City. Both are excellent with good doctors, some nurses and orderlies who also speak English. -
Really? And who was occupying East Germany until the Berlin Wall in 1989 fell and East Germany collapsed in 1990?

Perhaps the driver had a blackout and he was unaware of his condition. I had one 3 weeks ago and knew nothing about it until I woke up in hospital. I had, and still have, no idea what happened until my wife told me the following day. I simply lost 24 hours. Granted I am 78, but I had no idea that could happen to me. That was also the day I quit driving, just in case.

Does anyone believe that nonsense?

Unless it is the government 7 series BMW or MB he is driven around in, complete with a police escort. -
Sadly there are not many podiatrists or hand/foot spas out here in rural Kamphaeng Phet.

Thanathorn Insists Military Be Kept Out Of Politics For Good
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
In the real world I agree with you. However TIT. That person has absolute control over all the military, and, along with the yellow shirts and the rabid royalists can have a serious effect on the election results as we saw at the last election. -
Thanathorn Insists Military Be Kept Out Of Politics For Good

Very true, and possibly what may happen at he next or subsequent coups. Unfortunately the biggest drawback to coups are strongly supported by the person we cannot talk about, and that is the problem that Thailand has to deal with first along with S112 and the associated laws. -

In Thailand the people get the government that is selected for them by fair means or foul, and every military coup is by foul means. -
The hardest thing and the most difficult task for me is getting my toenails cut. Fortunately my 18 year old son cuts them for me.

Thank you for the information. I had not realised until I joined this thread how many other posters were in a similar position. I kept thinking poor me, I must be the only one. But this is one of the better and more helpful threads on ANN and as yet unsullied by trash posts so far.

Robinsons in KPP has a flat entrance with no need for a wheelchair ramp and has a disabled parking slot. Whilst they have a wheelchair, you need to have a helper. BigC and Makro are the same, but no wheelchair that I have seen. Truth be known, I rarely go anywhere now as I have quit driving, just in case I have another blackout. She does the local shopping anyway, and now she does the monthly bulk shop and drives me if I have to go to hospital etc.

I live in rural Thailand about 65 km from the main state hospital. There is a BigC, Makro and Robinsons all with disabled parking (assuming some self entitled ahole has not parked there), but only Robinsons have a wheelchair as well. Makro is OK as it is all one ground floor, To get to BigC I would need to go in the cargo lift, but Robinsons has proper lifts to the first floor.

I am 78. If you see a doctor you get maybe 10 minutes with him but if you can get to your pc you can check out some of the possible causes for hours, and save them in your own time. Several reasons why people have a shortness of breath. 1 They drink too much. I have one alcoholic drink on NYE a year as I quit drinking about 3 years ago. 2 Low blood pressure, which is what I have. About a month ago I went up to the kitchen some 25 metres away and sat for a couple of minutes. I must have stood up too quickly and blacked out. The postman found me and called my neighbour, (my wife was elsewhere), who in turn called an ambulance which took me to hospital where I woke up next day without a clue as to where I was, or what had happened. I was kept in for 3 days and my wife was there all the time (I think). I was sleeping about 20 hours a day. I can still shuffle/walk around the house but apart from one trip to the hospital I have not been out of the house for about 3 weeks. This week I shall be buying a zimmer frame from Lazada and I hope that helps my daily shuffle. https://www.lazada.co.th//products/i4188229717-s16476050367.html?spm=a2o4m.cart.0.0.3c146108Eks0nJ&urlFlag=true I have the urge to sit outside in the sun sometimes. I can keep my balance to get to the toilet and have a shower and also shuffle around the house but it is hard work at times. Fortunately I am lucky to have a wonderful wife who feeds me and changes my Pampers when I needed them, but I am back to normal underwear and shorts now. I have great sympathy for all the posters here who are affected as I now now what they are going through.

Wise or swift

My pensions are normally in and out within 24 hours, unless it is a Friday or a Thai bank holiday.
