  1. No he didn't. That was your hero Trump and nobody else. After all who pulled the USA away from the deal? https://www.cfr.org/backgrounder/what-iran-nuclear-deal Summary Signed in 2015 by Iran and several world powers, including the United States, the JCPOA placed significant restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. President Trump withdrew the United States from the deal in 2018, claiming it failed to curtail Iran’s missile program and regional influence. Iran began ignoring limitations on its nuclear program a year later. Washington and Tehran have both said they would return to the original deal but they disagree on the steps to get there.
  2. Tell that to Putin and the Russians then. They started this war and they are the ones escalating it.
  3. The photo at the top is missing one of these. I worked on it at Tengah in 1969/1970. I also worked on the Hunters of 1 and 54 Sqn at RAF West Raynham from 1966 to 1968.
  4. just another day full of false facts and lies spewed out by the biggest liar in the USA. Not that the lies make any difference to the MAGA supporters, as they believe that anything that Trump says is the truth.
  5. Fell for what? After 23 years of marriage all of my income is shared between us and when I die she will get a % of 2 of my pensions for her lifetime. And she deserves it all too.
  6. And the current military government are to be trusted anytime/anywhere?
  7. And why should she not give him an amnesty? After all that was one of the first things that the generals did for themselves after the 2014 coup.
  8. Yingluck was the last freely elected PM in Thailand. She dissolved her government to make way for another election and became the caretaker PM. Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan was a Thai businessman and politician who served as the acting Prime Minister of Thailand following Yingluck Shinawatra's removal from office by the Constitutional Court of Thailand on 7 May 2014 until his deposition in a coup d'état three weeks after taking office. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yingluck_Shinawatra Whilst serving in that position, on 7 May 2014, the Constitutional Court of Thailand removed Yingluck Shinawatra from the office of caretaker prime minister and defence minister following months of political crisis. The court found her guilty of charges of abuse of power over the removal of national security chief Thawil Pliensri in 2011.[11] In the wake of the May 2014 military coup, Yingluck was arrested along with former cabinet ministers and political leaders of all parties and held at an army camp for a few days while the coup was consolidated. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niwatthamrong_Boonsongpaisan Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisan (Thai: นิวัฒน์ธำรง บุญทรงไพศาล, RTGS: Niwatthamrong Bunsongphaisan, IPA: [ní.wát.tʰam.roŋ bun.soŋ.pʰaj.sǎːn]; born 25 January 1948) is a Thai businessman and politician who served as the acting Prime Minister of Thailand following Yingluck Shinawatra's removal from office by the Constitutional Court of Thailand on 7 May 2014 until his deposition in a coup d'état three weeks after taking office.[1] Before becoming acting premier, he was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, and before that managed the country's rice pledging scheme There is more information in both links.
  9. And would all of the local people around ex RAF Scampton be willing to foot the entire bill to preserve RAF Scampton. It is merely one of many ex military bases across the UK which are no longer required. It is simply a piece of land where aircraft used to fly from but no longer do. I never served there during my 25 years and most of the RAF stations I did serve on are long gone. The memories both good and bad, however remain.
  10. And just how much was the huge financial loss Thailand made following the rice price fiasco vote buying scheme? After all, all the rice was sold in the end.
  11. If the PTP win an overall majority they can simply tear up the constitution and revert to the 1997 constitution, modify and amend it where it is needed. After all that is what the military do every time to suit themselves.
  12. And what has the current government ever given the nation since it stole the whole country in 2014? Words and unfulfilled promises of reforms and a country in a far worse state than when they stole it. Has there been any sign of the police or military reforms, returning happiness to the people? Not that I or the majority of the country has noticed. Not only was the economy in far better shape but Thaksin was voted into power by a free election vote by the people. After 4 years as PM, he stood for election once again and was voted back with an overall majority. He was deposed in the time honoured manner by yet another military coup, as was his sister, Yingluck.
  13. It is up to each poster and his wife if they want to give the Immigration staff anything or not, and it is of no concern to other posters. When I go to Immigration it is an hours journey each way and 65km. It costs me the best part of 300 baht for the round trip. So if I wish to give them something it is up to me and my wife. It is nothing to do with any keyboard warrior and for those who tell me it is wrong and I shouldn't do it, I have one response. You mind your own business and I will mind mine.
  14. Immigration have only been to our house once in 4 years for a marriage immigration check. If you don't want to tip or help them, then nobody is forcing you to do so. If other people wish to do so, it is up to them. quote from your post. "People like you who bend over and take it are the reason such practices exist." If that is what you believe, it is up to you. In reality it does not happen to everybody everywhere.
  15. I would and did regularly. The one time I was short changes was in a gas station and I stopped the guy before he walked away. OTOH there have been a few times when the 7/11, bank staff and even ordinary Thais have come after me as I had forgotten to take all my change or dropped some money.
  16. I think that the first till key that they push records the time and server as an identifier. That would mean that any server who uses any till will show up at cashout time.
  17. Yet President Zelensky often travels to the front line in the Ukraine to support and encourage his Ukrainian troops. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-65036208 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has returned to the front line near Bakhmut where fighting has raged for months. The devastated city has long been a focal point of the war as Russian forces try to revive their military campaign in the east. His visit came as Russian forces launched a series of strikes on Ukrainian cities. While President Zelensky condemned Russia's "bestial" attacks on civilians, he also visited the eastern front line, where Ukrainian forces have held Russia at bay for more than seven months. He last visited the area in December. Footage released by the President's office showed him in an old industrial warehouse giving medals to battle-weary soldiers. "I am honoured to be here today," he told servicemen, "in the east of our country, in Donbas, and to award our heroes, to thank you, to shake your hands." There is more info in the link. President Zelensky often does this, compared to Putin who despite the overwhelming Russian numbers, has yet to set foot near the front lines.
  18. But it is not doing a lot for the person involved nor their family. The hospital facilities could also be used for people with a greater need.
  19. Not necessarily on the sea but on water. It is NOT OK to pump untreated sewage into the water, especially right where you live. You will have waste toilet water complete with its contents which smell and will stick to any surface. Grey water from the washing machine plus water from washing, cleaning your teeth and from having a shower. It would all need to be treated and pumped to a septic tank on land, which will need emptying at least once or twice a year.
  20. A good reason to buy a dry powder fire extinguisher. https://fire-risk-assessment-network.com/blog/dry-powder-fire-extinguishers/ Where Can Dry Powder Fire Extinguishers Be Used? Dry Powder ExtinguisherA dry powder fire extinguisher can be used in a large variety of situations, these are as follows: Use of a standard dry powder fire extinguisher: Class A fires; fires that involve flammable solids like textiles, paper, and wood Class B fires; fires that involve flammable liquids, for example, paint, diesel, and petrol Class C fires; fires that involve flammable gases, for instance, butane or methane Electrical fires where the electrical equipment is up to a maximum of 1000v
  21. Is it also ethical to spend money on keeping me alive against my wishes. I would not wish on anyone the problem of keeping me alive as a vegetable for perhaps years, and depriving other people a chance to live?
  22. You can do as you wish. I will do as I wish. If you don't like what I do, then the problem is yours and not mine. You don't own me, you are not my family. You are just another anonymous keyboard warrior, who believes that his way is the only right way, and everybody who disagrees with you is wrong.
  23. Please read and quote ALL of the post, and not simply snip the bit that you don't like. Proof. Unless you visit the regional office, in rural Thailand you take your documents to the provincial office to be dealt with. Then the local office send the documents to the regional office for checking and confirmation, which is why there is 30 days awaiting approval time.
