You beat me to it. Ukraine, having made an IMO strategic error by attacking Kursk, now throws more troops into a conflict far away from where they are needed in the East. Has Zelensky given up on the East and going for an easier "victory", or is it to gain something to trade in the coming negotiations?

Culturally, in LOS fares are collected after completion of service. Paying before would IMO inevitably lead to complaints of being landed at the wrong ( closer ) place, or other suchlike scams. Further bad news for the European economy - 4 out of 5 main gas export routes to Europe now closed. Gas prices increase, uneconomical for businesses which close. Russian gas still gets to Europe via Turkey, but costs a lot more.
