Thailand Birth Rate Nosedives: 81% Drop Surpasses Japan
thaibeachlovers replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Disagree. As a proportion of the population those involved with tourists would be minimal, IMO. It's good news. The sooner the rest of the planet joins Thailand and Japan in reducing birth rates the better. IMO it's the only hope for the survival of the species. -
On that I agree. IMO wokeness isn't the cause of the downfall of the west, it's a symptom. While some will disagree, IMO the end began when the west retreated from empire building and became nations without a purpose, and have been circling the downpipe ever since. It's a genetic imperative for humans to conquer, and when we stopped doing that we were going against our genetic nature. China is in the expansion phase and is ruled by a ruthless dictatorship, which is what humans do as a genetic imperative. The strong survive, and the weak go to the wall.

There is a far simpler way. Open a post from the poster one wants to ignore, hover the mouse pointer over the user name ( don't click on it ), the profile page is opened , go to bottom right and click on "ignore" and do what the instructions say. -
Is there anything good about getting old?

I chose the better path so I didn't have any children to grow as adults. I didn't waste any of my life apart from the lost years in my 2 relationships with toxic women. Luckily it wasn't a great deal of my life, just a couple of extended interludes between better things I admit that now I am just wasting time waiting to pass over the great divide, but the body isn't up to much any more. Being insulted on AN is about as exciting as my life gets now. -
Happily you do not dictate what other posters write, though you do express a certain disdain for any that do not conform to your desired dictats. I like Thais as much as you, but unlike you I like them the way they are, not as some version of western sheeple. You should stick to telling your Thai family and friends how to live their lives. Thailand is as I wish western countries were, where people take responsibility for their own actions and the nanny state is not dictating everything they can and can not do. Happily, unless your lot succeed in changing the culture, Thais give the finger salute to western culture and live lives as THEY want to, not as moaning farangs want them to.

It astounds me that so many posters on here that apparently like living in LOS want to change the fundamentals of the culture and replace it with some version of <deleted> hole western culture. If they love western culture so much they should go live in one. Thankfully, Thais have as much respect for farangs opinions as they do for soi dog's poop.

If you can't see that imposing western fear based regulations on Thailand will not stop at helmets you are apparently not intellectually prepared for a discussion on the subject. It begins with helmets and ends with just another western type fear based over regulated <deleted> hole like the ones some of us wanted to leave behind. You should take your helmet wearing crusade to the US and lecture the state legislators of the following states, or is it only Thailand that deserves your dictatorship desires concern? Sorry if I gave you that impression. I was just interested that the interview showed a different side to her from the annoying little hussy that lectured the grown ups at the UN. I guess some good can be found in everyone if one looks hard enough, though in some cases one has no interest in looking at all.

I was only pointing out that she isn't actually the way the poster I responded to thinks she is. Far as Greta and her parents are concerned I have as much interest in them personally as the birds in the sky- they exist, but nothing to spend time on, unless they do a dive bomb on my head, or Greta does another stunt.

If it comes down to supporting Turkey, a NATO member, which IMO wants to destroy the Kurds, or the Kurds, who do you think he will support? While the US didn't exist during the crusades, the original Euro immigrants came from crusader countries and I believe Trumps origins are German, and Germany or whatever that region was called back then certainly were in the crusades. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crusade_of_1197 The Crusade of 1197, also known as the Crusade of Henry VI (German: Kreuzzug Heinrichs VI.) or the German Crusade (Deutscher Kreuzzug), was a crusade launched by the Hohenstaufen emperor Henry VI in response to the aborted attempt of his father, Emperor Frederick I, during the Third Crusade in 1189–90. Thus the military campaign is also known as the "Emperor's Crusade" (echoing the name "Kings' Crusade" given to the Third Crusade).[2]

Oxford Union Faces Anti-Terror Probe Into Israel Debate

Nothing to do with Islam, and perhaps you should consider that having a different opinion to yourself is acceptable except to those that support dictatorship. -
Actually you are wrong on that. I recently saw an interview with her in which she came across as reasonably articulate and self effacing. Certainly has a sense of humour. Perhaps the problem in the past was that she was being forced into everything by bad parents. I didn't expect to agree with her on anything, but seems there is.

Syrian Rebels Take Damascus As Assad Flees Amid Global Concerns
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Excellent 2 posts. IMO the only thing certain is that "they" have not learned "lessons". Too much profit in wars, preferably far from the US, and not resulting in US boys returning home in body bags. Also, while everyone's attention is diverted to the latest conflict overseas who knows what "they" are getting up to at home? -

Better for whom? Certainly not for the prisoners in Assad's torture prisons. Sadly, it does seem that Syria is in for internal conflict between the opposing factions. The opposition was united only in wishing to see Assad gone. IMO, a neighbouring country will be stirring the pot as the last thing they want is a united country, which will turn it's attention to illegally occupied Syrian land. -

For sure it's going to be a problem with Turkey attacking the Kurds. -
and I'll keep being happy that Trump won. The voters didn't care about it. Only butt hurt anti Trumpers do care, not that it makes any difference to the fact that Trump won.
