Well said. IMO the US jobs were exported to China simply for GREED by GREEDY business men. Nothing to do with being good business. Now that they don't have to employ people to make stuff, expect all those businessmen to bring manufacturing back to the US, given an incentive to do so, like tariffs.

The real question is if the alliance is worth having. IMO it's not. I want the US to pack it's bags and go home, and leave the Euros to sort their own <deleted>. The ordinary US citizen deserves better than spending all their money on overseas adventures. Time for the US to stop being the world's ( unwanted ) policeman. I had great hopes for Trump this time, but he's losing the plot when it comes to the M E. When will the US learn that they can't win there, short of total war and the deaths of millions, as with Germany and Japan. The US hasn't won a major war since WW2, whether directly as in Korea ( armistice ), Vietnam ( where they were defeated by a bunch of peasants ) or in Afghanistan, ( defeated by a bunch of peasants ), or by proxy as in Ukaraine or that other conflict where their ally can't defeat a bunch of lightly armed irregulars. Trump avoided wars the first time by diplomacy, and I was hoping for a repeat, but he's very warmongerish this time. IMO the M E is where western nation's wars always end up in a humiliating withdrawal.

Perhaps pension funds should not be putting the money into a gamble then. The stock market goes up and down- you know that. Money put into the stock market is not guaranteed to be safe. Blame the crooks bad actors that gamble with pension funds, not Trump.

Where are the 6 factories with 2/3 thousand workers in each going to be found? Another one that hasn't heard of AI! Factories don't need people any more. Chinese labour isn't even that cheap any more. It won't cost much more to build an AI robotics factory in the US than overseas, and all the profits will stay in the US.
