BTW, had the planet actually gone into a cold cycle, it might not have boded well for humanity, that does not do well in freezing zones. If humans did well in lands of snow and ice, the peoples that lived in northern Canada and in Siberia would rule the world.

Something most would not know is that the peninsula is known by people familiar with Antarctica as the "banana belt" as it's much warmer than most of the Ice cap. The rest of Antarctica is in no danger of "greening" as the ground is frozen and devoid of nutrients. There are apparently some plant varieties that survive under floating ice as unfrozen sea water is above 0 degrees. I understand that prior to the ice age that created the ice cap trees grew on the land part of Antarctica.

To get there by aircraft they have to pass by or over unfriendly countries, and they will no doubt be waiting for the attack. It would be easiest to eliminate the refueling aircraft as they fly more slowly, and without refueling the attack aircraft will not get back, and no friendly countries to land in. I assume it'll be by missiles or Iranian interests elsewhere.

While there are obvious economic advantages when it comes to affordability of good accommodation in LOS, I would choose to live in LOS even if I was wealthy enough to own a good house here and never slept with a Thai woman there, as it's just a better quality of life. At least people are happier.

My actual presence is required. I didn't have any property, not even a car when I was living overseas before of pension age, as that would have allowed the money grubbers to tax me at residential rates, despite not living in the country. It's all pointless even discussing it now, as I had to spend the money that I had as the Visa extension 800,000 baht to just survive in NZ, given the pension is too pitiful to live on alone. That means I can never live in LOS again.
