  1. Did he? I never heard that. Do you have any proof?
  2. That's not criticism, it's just nasty insults. I'm sure psychologists have a word to describe what you are doing.
  3. If they forced Trump out they can cancel the election and just anoint Harris as POTUS.
  4. If you don't know you haven't been paying attention.
  5. Please give us an example of where Harris was able to point to a personal political success in the past 3 1/2 years. Eg, how she sorted the southern border.
  6. It'll be lucky for all the boys that won't die. I guess you don't care about them then? Just cannon fodder to make the 1% richer, and of no real importance.
  7. Oh dear, that's disappointing. I guess it can't be too long till the end of civilisation as we knew it then.
  8. I think they gave up the big hats years ago. Don't know what they wear now as only time I see them they ain't wearing a hat. No they are not bowler hats- they were what British office workers used to wear. NZ cops don't all carry guns, but I bet they have them in the cars.
  9. Cops are supposed to help good people and arrest criminals. Beating up non violent protesters is not supposed to be part of their job. In NZ I get the impression the bad guys laugh at the cops. Only time I've had personal interaction with cops in the UK, they behaved like arrogant s***t h***s, and that was female cops. I might have an opinion about cops in NZ, but the only time I've seen them is driving in their cars. I get the impression people just don't want to be cops anymore, so hardly any of them.
  10. I agree, I once thought about joining up, but it was in those days of yore. I didn't in the end, as someone went into a cop shop and killed the duty cop with a shotgun. I thought I was probably safer in the military and stayed in.
  11. I once bought a housebus with the intention of seeing the country the slow way around after I retired. I went back overseas after buying it and a "friend" was going to look after it for me. Turned out he wasn't a friend and my housebus wasn't ( in existence ) either. Life is easy for some, money, wine, women and song fill their days with no effort on their part, but the rest of us do it the hard way. PS. I imagine my house bus would also have had an interesting paint job, but not as ferocious as that.
  12. Won't happen to me. If it gets that bad I'm taking the exit. There is nothing and no one to keep me hanging around if I do end up in a cardboard box under a bridge. If I have a heart attack and some b****d resuscitates me they'll regret it.
  13. I never had to. My mother told me- she wanted children. My father didn't want children. She should have asked my father about that BEFORE getting married.
  14. My mother wanted children. My father didn't. Having produced me, she allowed my father to banish me from the family at the age of 10. People are weird.
  15. One only needs look at the economy of Russia, which is smaller than Texas, to realise why Putin is not interested in occupying all of Ukraine, because Russia does not have the capacity to do that. It's good to be able to read a post not based in fantasy. Western propaganda, IMO, is used to justify taking taxpayers money and wasting it in a far off land so the 1% can get even richer. Unfortunately, it seems a lot of people believe the propaganda.
  16. Obviously. That's what countries have been doing since countries existed. Why would Russia have to be different? It's not as though the west hasn't been doing that same thing for a few centuries, is it? Now tell us something we didn't know.
  17. Do you disregard the possibility of revenge? Russia lost by some accounts 40 million citizens to the Germans. I suspect it was more payback that anything else.
  18. I thought the wheel fell of that myth long ago. The chances of Russia taking all of Ukraine then and now are IMO zero. We ain't talking about a tiny country- Ukraine is huge. Russia doesn't and didn't have a military capable of taking the whole thing, IMO. If you have some actual factual evidence that Putin thought he could have it all I'd like to see it. Russians are well acquainted with guerrilla warfare, having done quite a bit of that during WW2, and they would know what would happen if they did actually try and take it all. The Germans, who had the best military in the world at that time were unable to take Ukraine/ Russia, and the Russian military is no where as good as the Germans were, which is why they use massed troops instead of tactics.
  19. That's a weird idea about Trump. On the one hand a large number of posters on here say he's bending over for Putin, and now you are saying that he might nuke Russia. Both sides can't be correct. More likely he'll be the same as the first time and try sugar diplomacy, unlike the present lot of IMO warmongers that apparently see nothing wrong with dropping big bombs on thousands of women and children.
  20. He should refuse to take part unless she agrees to one with Fox. He has more to lose in a debate than she does, so if he can get her to refuse then he can blame her for not going to hers.
  21. With any luck the Ukraine war will end with Zelensky having to beg for terms. Then Trump can put out lots of ads saying how she colluded to waste billions of taxpayer $ on a war that was lost. Let's see how she can turn that into something positive.
  22. If Trump has any sense he'll just let her sabotage herself, and put out lots of ads showing the border crisis and the Ukraine war, both on her watch. Sometimes it's better to say nothing new and let the other side do all the work. After all, it's free publicity every time she attacks him. Also, not responding to her attacks would drive her crazy ( even more than already ).
  23. That is probably because hardly any one knows who Peter Sloterdijk is or read a word he wrote. I never heard of the dude till just now.
  24. As you should. I don't, but that's because the one that was supposed to care for me didn't, and is no longer part of my life. I'm actually happier on my own than I was with her.
  25. Thanks for the sympathy, but that's life. My last year in LOS I never touched a woman, so it wasn't that that attracts me to the place. I was happier just living in an hotel room, eating at restaurants, going to movies, watching cable tv etc than back in the so called first world. Everything is just too expensive to do half the things I did in LOS with less money. I love movies, but can't afford them on a pension. With petrol so expensive I hardly use my car- I didn't even need a car in Pattaya. Anyway, I assume you are in LOS. If so just make the most of it, as you are fortunate indeed.
