Well, IMO he made a huge lie in his speech to the NAACP when he said something about Trump or the GOP banning abortion in all of the US ( sorry, I don't remember the exact words ). The speech was on Al Jazeera and they don't have it on vdo yet that I can find.

You can jump up and down as much as you like, but IMO it would work if every illegal was immediately removed to Rwanda. That the previous government was too incompetent/ stupid/ woke/ cowardly ( or pick your own adjective ) to be serious about it isn't my fault. I wouldn't even bother with Rwanda- I'd just get the navy to block them from crossing the sea border, and give the finger salute to the wokists melting down over it. and who is going to spend the trillions of $ to build that shelter? Is there oil on the moon? I can understand a temporary base to do a bit of exploration, but what possible benefit would a permanent base be? It would require trillions of $ just in logistic support flights. Is it going to be the survival shelter for the world's richest to wait for Elon to build the new Eden on Mars post the destruction of Earth as a habitat for humans?

You are letting your politics influence your post. The emasculation of Britain's defense force happened under Labour governments as well as Tories. It's been going on since BAOR ended. I don't see how any tinkering will help anyway. The military just isn't an attractive career option. Perhaps if the previous guy hadn't wasted the budget on bombs for Ukraine they might have some money to make the wages attractive. I was in the military during a time we were in Vietnam and when we were not and the time we were not the military sucked biggly ( too many idiots in positions of power ), so they lost me and all the thousands of dollars they spent training me. Peace time military needs to try harder to keep people in, or they will leave.
