  1. Your sister would have loved Follyfoot then. I liked Space 1999, but I saw an episode a while back and very dated.
  2. That was a movie deemed appropriate to let us watch at school. The colour was a bit different to normal colour movies, Good movie though.
  3. We ain't offended by the products per se, but by the mentality that says they have to be put in male bathrooms. If I was using one of those bathrooms and I had a GF ( real girl ) I'd nick them to give to her. It's not like anyone is going to actually use them if they are in a male bathroom. BTW, it's that sort of mentality that will see the end of western civilization. Too rotten to survive for much longer.
  4. If I lived in the US I'd be like that. I don't live in the US and I'm like that. IMO western countries have gone woke, PC and not nice to live in. Unless rich life sucks and there are criminals everywhere that can get away with it because the law is rubbish and the cops can't do their job. Can't smack your own children, but they just can't stop bad people beating small kids to death or teenagers ramraiding. Worst thing happened to me in the last 40 years was having to go back to live in a western country with no escape. LOS rocks.
  5. The only one I support is socialism ( small s ) and I wish a plague on all the others. I was going to expand on that but wrong forum for that, and off topic. All I wish for a Christmas present in 2024 is a Biden defeat. I don't care who the winner is as they can't be as bad as he is IMO, unless they resurrect HRC.
  6. Why is the israeli navy not going to join in, or are they? after all, this is about them and their attacks on Gaza.
  7. I could barely get out of bed to use the bathroom. Lasted 3 days of my precious holiday time. Luckily I had a temporary GF staying with me who looked after me.
  8. You do if you have insurance. I had a very short stay in a Lamphun private hospital, cost 50,000 baht and I only had a room and an IV. Had I not been insured it would have cost more ( farangs pay more as we can afford to, apparently ). My Thai insurance cost 60,000 baht so it was worth it.
  9. Theoretically Ukraine can't join as long as an active war is going on, but if they want WW3 enough I'm sure they will invent some way to make it happen.
  10. IMO it will end when Zelenski ( if he hasn't run away ) decides it's time to negotiate. Seems to me the Euros and the US are determined to hang on till the last Ukrainian.
  11. Nothing is set in stone, if the politicians want something enough. After all they are the ones who make the rules. Seems to me Euro politicians just can't wait to start WW3.
  12. Thanks for the funniest post I've seen in a long time. I needed a laugh.
  13. If governments can steal other people's money just because they don't like them, we are all in trouble. The EU isn't even at war with Russia so what legal means would they have to do so?
  14. One used to wonder if the EU leadership were idiots or just the usual sort of politician. One now knows and IMO it's not the latter.
  15. Far as I can tell the post he responded to was when you said, in full "As to why certain things are the way they are: The IDF said the Hamas terror group has fired at least 116 rockets from the recently designated al-Mawasi “humanitarian zone” in southern Gaza toward Israel. [ref] MAP 38 of the projectiles fell short into the Strip. Not to mention frequent robberies of humanitarian goods from Gaza citizens." and I can't see anything in that that would be anything other than excusing the israeli assault on Gaza which has killed many thousands of non Hamas people, including over 7,000 children. If I have got the wrong post, or misunderstood it, apologies.
  16. Errr, to believe in religion requires a belief in God.
  17. Rod was great. Loved his movies, but my favourite is A Gathering of Eagles. I have the DVD somewhere, must watch it again. Danger Man was definitely my favourite McGoohan series, but he sort of lost me with The Prisoner.
  18. In a related but dissimilar happening, In Antarctica we had no tv, but there was one in the American Base a short distance away which we visited often. I was there with a group from our base ( all adults ) that went to see the tv, but the only thing on the screen was a small black square on a white background. For at least half an hour the group looked at the screen without saying a word, before they gave up. I looked at their faces as they did so, and on realising what tv was in that moment, I never watched a tv for the next year. Sadly I was seduced back to the dark side when my fiance moved in.
  19. My object of desire was Hayley Mills in In Search of the Castaways. My mother took us all to see The Sound Of Music, a 2 hour drive away, twice.
  20. and of course there was the problem going up stairs. They solved that in later series by making them levitate. I guess that would have been a bit hard in the early days before FX.
  21. 27 for the whole of Europe. That's really going to work, not.
  22. I judge her on her own self and I don't like what I see. It's great that she lost her seat in congress as we don't need people like her running the US. I wonder if she will stand for POTUS, if she can find anyone to give her money to do so? If she does I'll enjoy seeing her humiliated.
  23. Have you even seen Biden on tv recently to know that he's too old for the job? I've looked after geriatrics that are more with it than he is.
  24. Thank you for pointing that out. Does Obama have his beachfront property anywhere near you?
