Do you believe in God and why
thaibeachlovers replied to ivor bigun's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I don't know where you got that mumbo jumbo from, but it certainly wasn't from me. I don't think God gives us any more concern than we give the flies we kill. Universe created, now left to get on with it as best it can. -

LOL. One man with a chainsaw can destroy more trees than natural causes, and one man driving a bulldozer can do more damage than a million years of weather. Humans evolved from a lower species, and used their brains to become monsters. If we can't treasure the planet, the source of our life, we do not deserve to inhabit it. -
I am pro gun, and I was trained by the government to use them. Unless you were trained by the government to use them, I'll take what I learned over comments on this forum. The reason for needing so many bullets to kill one enemy is that one is trying to avoid being killed oneself and it's not easy when needing a clear view. Snipers are usually pretty good though. My comment was more along the line of "there is less likelihood of mass civilian casualties if it's rifles as against hi explosive shells and bombs". 5,000 or 500, it's too many, and given the amount of damage inflicted by bombing from safety high high up in the sky, it should be more like 50,000. However, give them enough time and I'm sure they can reach that death toll.

Most exciting thing you've done in Thailand

I think it happened to me with a "lady of the night" once. However, I always locked my money in the hotel safety box, so if they did, they didn't get anything worthwhile, and I didn't notice anything gone. -
How does Bali compare to Pattaya or Phuket

I think that's over the ditch. I haven't heard anyone call women that here. While they haven't been given a label here per se, <...................> would be appropriate ( insert word of your own choice ). Anyway, real men seem thin on the ground now, and there are too many sheeple that take any old <deleted> the government dumps on them. I don't count gangsters that beat up women and children as "real men", and sadly that happens way too often. -

Are you sure they didn't drug you and make you do silly things for their entertainment? -

For many of us, sex was more or less a non event or just really bad till we discovered Thailand. It's no wonder it became so popular with western men. There ain't a queue of randy women waiting outside my door, that's for sure. When grannys or fat burds are the only option, abstinence makes sense. -

I often spend half my time on this forum responding to those posters that only criticise others, and you can add this post to that category. -

In this case he's got a point. It's bad enough that it's golf, but golf in another country is beyond annoying. -

Soooo, just call it World Forum and let anyone say anything about anywhere in the world. While I admit to the occasional off topic I try not to make it a habit, and the reason I come on this forum is to read about THAILAND, not golfing in America or some such nonsense. There is an entire subforum for those that need to talk about home country. -

The difference is that they were natural occurrences and what humans do is un natural. When one considers that we have almost totally polluted the oceans and we are still only 8 billion in number, the planet will really suffer when it gets to 16 billion. It's not too late for Gaia to salvage something from the wreckage before it's irrevocable. If you found out that a lodger in your house was a homicidal maniac, would you let him stay there just because he hadn't murdered your family, yet? -
Geert Wilders' victory in Netherlands election spooks Europe

If you have some way I can influence the people that dictate how I live, I'm agog to hear of it. I couldn't even get the <deleted> to give me the pension in Thailand so I could escape the place. -
Israel releases 39 Palestinian prisoners under hostage deal
thaibeachlovers replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
IMO only country in the western sphere of influence that can get away with that, and only because the US vetoes anything that goes against israel in the UN. It's time to call time on that useless organisation. Keep the actually useful bits but get rid of the security council, which apparently doesn't provide "security" to anyone, unless it's in American interests to do so. It's a wonder the secretary general hasn't been sacked already for saying October 7th didn't happen in a vacuum. -

I don't understand how anyone can equate all Palestinians with Hamas, even the dead 10 year olds. Somewhat sad, or worse, IMO. Kids with legs blown off that are not even into puberty; this world of humans is toxic, IMO. -

Free speech, israel? Not if you are Palestinian. Apparently the released prisoners are aware that they are likely to be re arrested soon as the truce is over, and the conditions under which they are now living may as well be still in jail. Youngest boy released as seen on Al Jazeera is 14. He must have been a real threat to those tough israelis. -
Understatement of the century. No doubt about it. Gaza was already densely populated before the conflict and now it's packed. anything over a well aimed bullet is going to kill and wound multiple civilians. Expect massive child deaths, and the inevitable outcry. Even Biden may not be able to cover for them if it does get too bad, though how over 5,000 dead children already isn't too bad, only Biden can answer. It's on his conscience from now on. If Russia wasn't able to move the security council to do something more than talk talk, perhaps China can. It'll be an interesting meeting.

Sorry to hear that, but you were unlucky. Millions of men have had TURP and not have had a problem. There is ALWAYS a chance that ANY operation can go wrong. I was also unlucky with my prostate surgery, to my everlasting regret.

and if the Earth has any sense it will rid itself of humans ASAP. While the dinosaurs were not always nice animals, they didn't destroy forests, pollute the oceans and the air, and kill each other in the millions, yet they were exterminated.
