Russia executing own retreating soldiers, US says
thaibeachlovers replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Ukraine
To answer that, one must consider it from the viewpoint of the 1% as to which course of action generates the most profit. War, even "cold war" is immensely profitable to the 1%, but there is a limit to how much war they can have and still keep the peasants quiescent. Perhaps an incredibly expensive mission to Mars will suffice to give certain persons an extra billion or two to add to petty cash. There has been a few mutterings about such in the recent past. Is it significant that space exploration has been quietly privatised ( with lots of lovely taxpayer money being flung at it )? -
You are welcome to dispute anything I say on here but making it personal is not appropriate on a public forum. No one else has any interest in that, and I find it boring. Attacking me personally isn't going to change my mind. eg So, by all means disagree with what I said without making it personal, but continued personal comments will only result in one more addition to my ignore list, and in your case I am reluctant to do so, as you actually have some interesting things to say.

Massive demonstrations around the world. The western leaders so eager to pay homage to netanyahu may yet come to regret it as the death toll of innocent children in Gaza mounts by the hour. Even my local radio station has reported that the israelis have ordered the evacuation of a hospital with babies in incubators, not something the israelis would want on the news, for sure. Seems the israelis are starting to lose the initial support they had post October 7, and by their actions are losing support of western people, even if the leaders remain committed. What possible reason could there be for evacuating the hospital other than bombing it? Seems the israelis want to make the Gaza Strip de facto uninhabitable, even if they have to call an end to the current assault. Did netanyahu make a mistake by not invading 2 weeks ago? Perhaps he didn't think the hostages would make such a difference, but when the POTUS "suggests" a halt to try and get the hostages released, did even netanyahu have to wait?

The poster that you quoted may be justified in his comments concerning October 7, but he seems to ignore the 30 years of oppression that led inexorably to October 7. Had he been born a Palestinian in Gaza, he may have a different opinion. As far as biden is concerned, one can only wonder what went so fundamentally wrong in the US that he even won a primary, though at least he did win a primary, unlike the vice president that got roundly defeated, yet could become POTUS.

It involves something far more reaching and involving many more people who are revengeful and atrocities being perpetrated on both sides most likely that we can know mostly sketchy details of. Indeed. However, the israelis are the ones with the trained army with all the weapons and hi tech toys needed to dominate a population with just a few light weapons and no organized militia. The israelis are the ones frequently invading Palestinian towns, arresting boys, demolishing houses and leaving dead Palestinians to mourn ( at least till 3 weeks ago ). Imagine if we were neighbours how life difficult could be. And the solution. I agree with you or you agree with me. No, not likely. The solution, I don't know. Personally , I would move out and buy another house. But Israelis and Palestinians probably don't have that option. In the case of the Palestinians, the neighbours are settlers that attack them with the protection of the army, wreck their cars, destroy their property and burn their olive trees, all with the tacit encouragement of the israeli government. Apparently they even murdered a Palestinian trying to harvest olives ( reported on Al Jazeera ). Of all the people on the planet, one would think Jews, with their history of oppression would be the least likely to oppress another people, but one is sadly mistaken.

I apparently look about 10 years younger than I am as people don't know me wonder why I'm not working, but I never did anything special like working out or anything like that, so must be my genes. However, I never worked in an office, so did get loads of exercise, never smoked, stopped drinking alcohol in my 30s, walked a lot.

You reference the OLD Nana Plaza. Has it changed in the past 3 years? -
In Thailand if it's mutual it's about 20 baht to the government. Having seen western women I knew for a long time change from nice people I'd have married to someone I would not marry, I don't believe in true love or happy ever after. Finding a real gem is like winning the $100 million lotto- someone wins it, but not usually us.

Given the hourly rate of a decent western hooker it's not surprising few would, though IMO rich men are paying for their trophy wives ( gold diggers ). Thailand made it affordable for average western men to afford it. BTW, I knew a few western prostitutes that I'd have been happy to have as a GF or wife, but they were already married or in a relationship. On the beauty scale they were 10s and nice people as well.
