A fool is born every minute. Nothing unusual there. Whatever mistakes I made in most of my life I didn't buy my Thai wife a house, or a business, and she had to go to work for her own money. I learned that lesson when a western woman managed to get me to buy her a house ( or at least a few years of a mortgage ), and I vowed that no woman would get to do that again. However, I was young and naive back then, and believed in true love ( no such thing IMO ) which belongs in fairy stories.

I "met" many BGs in my time, and the majority were very nice people that I'd have liked for friends. Obviously some were not nice people, just like some western women I knew. For most of my time visiting Thailand I had no intention of getting married though, and unfortunately when I did I met the wrong woman but she was "good" for a few years, so not a total loss.

and your point is? Some of us want sex and don't mind paying for it up front. Some of us wanted sex and ended up paying for it in the divorce. The only lesson is that we end up paying for it up front or at the end. Millions are screwed by employers, so we get screwed on every front, but some screwing is more enjoyable than other screwing. Did you enjoy <deleted> a woman that is fleecing one man and cuckolding another?

House speakership up in air as resistance to Jim Jordan hardens

It's over. They have elected someone I never heard of, Mike Johnson. His stated first order of business- supporting israel. That is apparently of more importance than the financial crisis, the debt crisis, the southern border fiasco, Ukraine, America's declining respect in many parts of the world, etc. -
Blinken warns: US will respond "decisevely"

“We do not want this war to widen. IMO, and using the words of many a Native American in western movies of my childhood, "the white man speaks with forked tongue". -
Nothing except hate and suffering, and many of us outside the conflict zone will also suffer. This could have been solved way back in Clinton's day, but the ongoing invasion of Palestinian land has rendered such highly unlikely. It's just sad when biden started muttering about the "two state" solution, as if it were even possible without israel withdrawing from it's illegal occupation of the West Bank and West Jerusalem.

Excellent post, and certainly easy to understand. IMO the israelis and Americans already lost public opinion in most of the world over trying to starve millions to death. It's ironic that Russia is looking better with it's call for an immediate ceasefire than the US with it's hold out for a "pause". What the <deleted> does a "pause" mean anyway? Just keep them alive a bit longer so they can be blown to bits later? And I'm pretty sure that when Israel is talking about crippling Hamas that they are not talking about bringing any back for trial. While the israelis have not shared their plans for after the invasion, one can only surmise that they intend to arrest every Palestinian male left alive and able to walk, and lock them up for a very long time, as by now every Gazan must surely want nothing else than revenge against israelis.

When even one child blown to bits is one too many, it's disgusting to me that some seem to think if it's less that the number reported by the Palestinians then it's OK. Anyway, how could the israelis have any idea of the number of children it has blown to bits? They aren't there trying to dig dead children out of the rubble.
