That would be what DID she get out of the marriage? A better lifestyle for a start, and i paid all the household expenses so she kept what she earned, except for booze ( which I refused to pay for ) and her car. I paid for the motorbike but I used that all the time, and she paid the m'bike costs. I can't have been such a bad husband as she tried to get me back after the divorce- it's lonely out there for a twice married middle aged not particulary attractive Thai woman that has to work full time to pay off the car.

???????????? I don't see him as hating Christianity at all, though I don't agree with his strange interpretation of it. -

You lose already. His stated first order of business is giving israel lots more US$ and support. Sad, really. Ukraine seems to be sidelined for the moment, and the US may not have much left to give them anyway, after giving israel lots of munitions, which may include bombs and definitely includes missiles. I agree about the US capital. -
He must have been told it's not looking good for his re election prospects if settlers are running amok in the West Bank, but why did he not mention that they are backed up by the army? He could stop it tomorrow with one phone call to netanyahu, so why doesn't he? Seems to me he is playing to his base while not actually doing anything.

All the Hamas could hand themselves over and the israelis would claim that not all had done so and carry on regardless, IMO. They told those in the north to evacuate to the south and then killed some trying to go south, and started bombing in the south. The israelis IMO are not to be trusted, and some in the leadership have reportedly said they want a "permanent solution", which IMO means complete destruction of Gaza. IMO it's the israelis that care not an iota for any Palestinian life, having oppressed them for over 30 years.

I think they should have negotiated before it began. When faced with an IMO undefeatable opponent it is somewhat inevitable that a lot of destruction is going to happen and a lot of widows and fatherless children will be the result. I assume you think that Ukraine can "win". I do not. It's even less likely now that America is concentrated on the Gaza conflict ( and apparently sending the munitions there instead of Ukraine ) and the EU citizens are staring to question if spending all the money on Ukraine is a good idea. 2 countries already refusing to support Ukraine and I doubt not that more will join them. I try not to respond to obvious baiting questions.

That looks like something out of WW1. Apparently the human race has not become more intelligent in the past 105 years, as we still think blowing things up is an acceptable way to live.

I might agree except it seems to me that israel is the one calling the shots and the US is just going along with whatever they demand. I just hope that I'm wrong, or it's going to get a whole lot worse.

Errr, a few lightly armed fighters are not a "force" IMO. If they were a force, they might have stood a better chance against the israelis in all the previous israeli assaults on Gaza.
-
Once again I have to agree with you.

That only works till a sniper takes out the gunner.

America can print more money to keep the israelis in bombs as long as it takes. BTW, APCs ( M113 ) that I've seen on the screen waiting outside Gaza are made of aluminium and IMO would be less protected against RPGs than tanks ( which often have reactive armour ), especially on the flat sides. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M113_armored_personnel_carrier The Israel Defense Forces still operates large numbers of the M113, maintaining a fleet of 6,000 of the vehicles. On numerous occasions since their introduction in the late 1960s, the IDF's M113s have proven vulnerable to modern anti-tank missiles, IEDs, and RPGs, resulting in the deaths of many Israeli soldiers riding inside the vehicles.

Death is inevitable, so why fear it?
