What do you do to pass the time during covid?
thaibeachlovers replied to DBath's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Other than the 6 weeks of level 4 lockdown ( 4 weeks last year at the start and 2 weeks recently after delta arrived ), I've done exactly the same as I did the year before corona was even heard of. -
Not till elected.

Pattaya businesses hope to see foreign tourists
thaibeachlovers replied to snoop1130's topic in Pattaya News
That was true in the past, but now they want to attract the seriously rich, a derelict building that looms over the city would be a turn off to anyone with the money to go anywhere. BTW, it's not just half built- it's an eyesore, and looks horrible. -
Then you should have PM'd him. As it's a public forum, anyone that chooses to can respond to any post, but you know that.
-
As always, you post rarely, but when you do you have something real to say. Well done and keep up the good work ????
-
Perhaps because we are stupid enough to allow them?
-
Given that your post is IMO political, and that we can not respond in kind, IMO you should not be posting tempting subject matter lest we all suffer the consequences, of which I am not permitted to comment on.

I was only referring to the number of posts you make, not to the content. However, as I have your attention, run, run as far from her as you can. You will only make yourself miserable by remaining in a situation where you are constantly reminded of her. I know- been there done that, got the T shirt. In my case it was resolved when she moved far away. I felt a whole lot better soon as she left.

VIDEO: Jomtien Beach Road collapses due to heavy storms
thaibeachlovers replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Looking at the pipes, it's no wonder they couldn't take the downpour. What <deleted> thought they would be large enough? Also, the road is just concrete over sand, no rock base at all. No wonder it collapsed. I'm just surprised it took so long to happen. -
Eat- in only for jabbed after 1st Oct says Richard Barrow.

Indeed. Supermarkets have always been the exception to the rule in NZ ( can't speak for elsewhere ) as impossible to enforce social distancing etc. If they had tried to enforce same rules as eg restaurants, the populace would be in uproar, as everyone has to eat and if the government tried to enforce home delivery there would be chaos, as many can't do that eg those that don't have internet, credit cards or EFPOS etc, or are living in cars because rents are too high. -
Unless the government gives them for free, what else did you expect? First lockdown in NZ it was hard to even find a mask for sale, and the pharmacy I tried was asking $10 for one disposable mask, or $16 for a washable one ( face covering was not mandatory during first lockdown and hardly anyone wore them where I live ). No wonder the government was saying that even a scarf around one's face was acceptable, and even now they refer to "face coverings" and NOT masks. Now the government has made face coverings mandatory in many places it is easy to buy masks at supermarkets ( not sold in local supermarket before ) for a reasonable price, but if one is living in one's car because one can't afford to rent a place, one isn't going to pay for masks.

But not in Thailand. Outside the cities, masks were so rarely worn I never saw one. They were IMO worn because of the misconception that they stopped pollution, not because people loved wearing the things. That is IMO more to do with Thais reluctance to make a fuss in public, than it is to do with acceptance of mask wearing.

Pattaya businesses hope to see foreign tourists

Shouldn't that be "only the richest will get through this"? -
But still off topic, which is segregation in Pattaya.

When I went for my flu jab, there was no interview, no Dr, and no notes taken. I did have to wait 30 minutes after the first one. When I was "vaccinated" for mumps by being put in close contact with an infected friend ( by my parents ) they didn't take any medical advice, and no medical staff involved. What may happen in one country, is not indicative of what happens elsewhere.

It's called unrequited love, and it's something men have experienced for millenia. I've been there, and it's not a happy experience. This too, shall pass, and fade away to a mere memory. In the future, you will give yourself a good mental kicking for being so foolish, but for now, you must remove yourself all contact with the temptress, less you get a real kicking from the husband.
