  1. I support it only because it's the only party that has a realistic chance of demolishing the democrat agenda. If the Dancing Dead Dog party had as much chance of doing so I'd switch to them in a heartbeat. For those of a literal mindset- the Dancing Dead Dog party does not exist.
  2. Did you miss the bit about caring about international politics and the US being important for it, or are you adding 2+2 and coming up with 22? Perhaps you can indicate an actual post where I have contributed something to do with domestic politics ie not federal? Perhaps not? Lets hope it doesn't lead to a world depression then. The last time that happened it took a world war and millions of dead to fix.
  3. That's old school nuclear. The new reactors under development, as seen on an Al Jazeera news item, are smaller, built in a factory and transported to the site, and require no additional cooling facilities that may fail. Claimed to be safe. Hoped to be available in a decade, if I remember correctly- might have been 5 years. https://www.pbs.org/newshour/science/how-the-next-generation-of-nuclear-reactors-could-be-smaller-greener-and-safer How the next generation of nuclear reactors could be smaller, greener and safer
  4. Just not interested enough to pursue every link provided. It's actually helpful to indicate that a quote is in fact a quote, not leave it up to us to work it out.
  5. My windows 7 very rarely gets an update. Re the OP, see if you can set computer to delete history when shut down. Given I know little about the way computers work that may be wrong, and not do much.
  6. and yet their society has functioned for hundreds of years, things get made that other people overseas buy, houses and even multistory buildings are constructed without falling down, society works on the whole in a reasonable fashion. Perhaps education is over rated- I left my imposter but expensive private college with basically no "qualifications", and did not attend university, yet I obtained qualifications for two different but highly skilled occupations, that at that time were mainly learn on the job ( one of which, nursing, is now considered to require a university piece of paper to do- complete BS of course as I'm living proof it's not ). BTW, the British Empire was run by people who's education seemingly consisted of learning the essential subjects of Latin and Greek ( LOL )- not bad for people from an imposter education.
  7. Should the Danes apologise to the British for raiding and killing, their forebears, or the French apologise to the British for treating the Saxons badly, the English to the Celts in Ireland, Wales and Scotland, etc?
  8. Friends or acquaintances? How many would let you stay with them for up to a month? I have a friend that let me stay that long a number of times, some just couple nights. I have loads of acquaintances, and not many friends.
  9. Anywhere else better, but not that place.
  10. Complaining about hotels in Phuket 555555555555555555 I'd never go back to that <deleted><deleted> even if I could.
  11. You must be unlucky. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels/ guest houses all over Thailand in my time there, and the bad ones a rarity.
  12. OP isn't in America, but good luck to him, and can only hope the lawyer isn't the only winner.
  13. Ah, the real question! Over the past few years that the so called "climate change" debate has been going on, I have asked that question a few times myself, but have yet to see any relevant reply. I'm not holding my breath.
  14. Not that responsibly, LOL. https://apnews.com/article/be12be49011743daaa3646edb0de0b61 Sailing team to fly 2 crew to US to bring Thunberg boat back
  15. I was responding to "We still have time to change the world." which I took to be from yourself, not the book, as nothing to say it was a quote.
  16. LOL. Adding 2+2 and coming up with 10 and a half. I doubt he's clever enough to be that Machiavellian. I never expect politicians to be clear, but then I don't believe much they say anyway. I don't usually even bother listening to them, unless entertaining. Trump is entertaining.
  17. They don't require IT to attract tourists or investment. IMO anyone reliant on IT is going to be in trouble at some stage, which is why I am not reliant on it for important things in my life. I thought it was going to be another "hate Thailand" thread, but only about a couple of web sites.
  18. Yes, owner of house or hotel staff supposed to register guest when staying at any place. Shows up on immigration computer when extending. Never asked for TM 30 for any procedure outside of immigration.
  19. I didn't even have an IDP when applying for Thai licence with my UK licence. Perhaps it depends on the office.
  20. Agree. I'm not sure when greed became the new norm, but it's not going to end well IMO. When, in NZ, motels have become "home" for hundreds, if not thousands of families, something is rotten in the "system".
  21. I liked the hot dogs when they were available, though it's possible I'm confusing 7 11 with Dairy Queen.
  22. I can only disagree. I agonized for months as to whether I should propose or not. Asked a friend, agonized more. I was by no means "compelled" to do so. Perhaps I miss a nuance in your post.
  23. That is indeed the way to go. Solves all the obvious problems bar infrastructure capacity to charge all the batteries.
