My choice for groundhog day would either be the virtually deserted beach on the Thai Gulf coast with my wife to be, or Railay West with the most beautiful temporary Thai GF I ever had. The month I had with each being as close to paradise as ever I had in this life, I can't decide between them.

If it wasn't for the "boozed" sensation why would they need to drink alcoholic beer? They can have non alcoholic beer in the stadiums if they like beer. IMO they banned alcohol in the stadiums because fans + alcohol is not a good thing. Blame it on the ones that get boozed and fight.

If one truly loves her, one will do whatever is necessary to make her happy including faking an interest. We all know that women fake it to make us think we are superman in bed.

I think part of the problem is that "health care" has been expanded to cover things that should not be covered, and welfare has been expanded beyond what it was intended to do. There is a difference between giving a hand up compared to a hand out. I doubt many will agree with me but I disagree that taxpayer money should routinely be given for children. IMO people should not have them if they can't afford them without taxpayer largess. I'd rather see the money put into educating children properly, so they don't become criminals.

Up to me any addict would be given free drugs so they didn't commit crime to feed the habit, but if they do commit crime lock them up. I'm all for equality so lock up anyone that commits a crime, regardless of skin colour or class.

How about educating themselves at night school and gaining some qualifications. Being poor is no excuse for giving up. Become a plumber or a builder etc.

That's correct, which is why, unless having a big bag that had to be stowed, I got off at On Nut and took sky train. I believe one can get off before On Nut now.

Rarely used a TAT office. I'd find out where the hotels were and go walk around till I found one I liked. Never booked on the phone. First time I ever went to Thailand I used the hotel booking place at the airport which included transport to the hotel- Easy peasy. First time I went to Chaweng, got dropped off in middle of hotel strip and walked along the beach till I found one I liked. Once I learned to take a temporary GF with me to the islands it got easier as I'd leave her with the bag in a restaurant while I looked around.

It's never enough just to lock the door. Use the chain as well.

If you believe that an hotel room in Thailand is a secure place, I have a bridge for sale. Can't remember how many news items I've seen about stuff being robbed from hotel rooms, but it's been a lot.

LOL. I knew from before the first time I visited Thailand not to leave valuables lying around in a hotel room. It's just common sense.

Did he put the chain on the door? Perhaps never been to Thailand before or very naive if thinks no one might enter while he was in the shower. It's like the ones hide the money in the room when going out and it's gone when comes back. Most places seem to have a safe in room now, or if not use the hotel safety box.

They always check it at departure desk. I was referring to booking the flight, and I was never required to give passport details that i remember. I always booked at airline office so might be different on line.

IMO you have to enter and leave Thailand with same passport. If enter on Thai passport and try to leave on British passport there will be no entry stamp.

Without a safety cut off it's not going to be much safer if just rewired IMO.

I'm not in Thailand so can't help you. If you go to one of the big stores you'll see plenty on display, and the safety cut off button will be obvious. If wanted, get a popular brand like Hitachi. I guess you'll have to pay the electrician yourself, unless your landlord is super helpful. If needing more technical advice I'll leave it up to Crossy.

If it had a button it'd be obvious. No way I'd be using one without a safety cut off, regardless if earthed or not. You can buy your own unit for not too much and change it with that one- change back when you leave and take it with you. Just make sure it's not too powerful or it may trip the circuit breaker. Get one same power as the existing one if hot enough.

Sometimes the button is underneath, like the one I had. Problem is the unit is rented, unless OP wants to buy one with safety cut out and take it when he leaves ( which is what I'd do ).

That was in one place. Current protests more spread out. Still they have more soldiers than protestors, so perhaps.
