Supreme Court clears way for House to get Trump’s taxes
thaibeachlovers replied to Scott's topic in World News
They were checked, by the Inland Revenue. Had anything untoward been revealed I'm pretty sure we'd have heard by now. PS. it's not the law to make them public, though previous candidates have chosen to do so. Isn't this all rather too late given the GOP control the committees now? -
Jerusalem bombings: Teenager killed in rare twin attacks at bus stops

The Israelis should take note of biblical teachings more Hosea 8:7 “For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.” -
My story is about when I wired up an outside light through a circuit breaker ( the correct way ). Without going into the complicated reasons they wanted to wire it without going through a circuit breaker, I refused on safety grounds, so they waited till I was away and got village electrician to come and rewire it. Unfortunately, village electrician didn't understand that a direct short isn't a good idea and melted 10 meters of electrical cable, the switch and the light fixture. When I returned I laughed like a drain and said I wasn't going to pay for the new wire and fittings.

I'm glad you included "can" in "a situation that can be resolved". I gave my wife 2 years to resolve the situation, but in the end the only option left was to leave her. Taking, horses, water and drinking comes to mind. Thais were brilliant at fixing punctures, but not so great at welding, wiring or plumbing. Luckily for me I can do all that myself.

World has never corresponded with what some consider the "right" viewpoint on life, and IMO never will. We may have been around for 50,000 years but mentally we are still cavemen, and act like it- to the victor the spoils, and the losers can go jump. Don't like the laws, either don't live in that country or change them, by whatever means possible ( how is it working out for demonstrators in Iran? ).

Why is the UK struggling more than other countries?

5555555555 Do you know who the bureaucrats in Brussels are? Faceless men and women run our world and we don't have a clue about them as they don't stand for election. -
Nancy Pelosi stands down as leader of US House Democrats

Just can't stop yourself talking about Trump, can you? This isn't a Trump thread- nothing to do with him at all. It's not even about the election. -
Russian tourists pack charter flights to Pattaya and Phuket
thaibeachlovers replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Why do you even think Thai's care about another European war? I have no idea why they should or would. It's nothing to do with them. They have their own problems with a homicidal neighbour, and that conflict seems rather ignored by posters on this forum. Not much outrage on display at all. -

LOL. How many of us know what Russian sounds like? I wouldn't have a clue. -

I know what I'd do if I were conscripted and if it was shoot them or them shoot me I'd do the first option and <deleted> the morality. Run away and get shot for desertion, refuse to obey an order and get shot on the spot. Not many choices for a conscript. -
Elon Musk restores Donald Trump’s Twitter account

I don't think it was a hard decision at all. I think they were just waiting for an excuse. What would I do if I ran twit thing? For a start I'd never ever run such a gross thing as a "social media" platform, which I despise, but if I were to be in charge I'd let anything on whatever political side it was from, and only ban personal attacks of any sort, and bad language. If a point of view can't be expressed without making it personal, or using bad language it doesn't deserve to be heard. -
Why is the UK struggling more than other countries?
thaibeachlovers replied to Scott's topic in World News
It doesn't matter what colour bananas it was about. The point I was making was that the faceless bureaucrats in Brussels were inventing stupid rules to impose on individual countries, and it's great that they can't do such on Britain any more- totally worth it. Bananas were just an example of Brussels over reach. -

I hope not at the expense of the UK taxpayer. At the least a loan that Ukraine has to pay back like the UK had to do for US support during WW2. -
That's interesting, and if true puts a somewhat large question mark against the FBI's impartiality. Personally, I always had doubts about the leadership of the FBI re political allegiance, going back to the days of the previous POTUS. Hopefully if there is a problem, the house investigation will reveal it.
