The EU is the new Tower of Babel, and we know what
God did to that.
A grand conception, too big to fail, like many empires.
Already fragmenting from within, history repeats folly
after folly.
The UK is perfectly able to manage its own decline.

Tell us how exchange rates have changed since 1973 - they are a matter of record.
Or in your War On Truth, is any fact anathema?
Find your own facts, on the present UK electorates poverty
compared to 1973. The poor are not concerned with
exchange rates, but they are concerned that the pound
buys less every week. Nice one, in the 6th richest economy.
An economy that does not give a damn about its unfortunates
There is as you say there is a war on truth, but its not mine.
My war is against deception.
Honest.

By Jill Treanor, Business reporter, BBC News
A no-deal Brexit could send the pound plunging and trigger a worse recession than the financial crisis, the Bank of England has warned.
It said the UK economy could shrink by 8% in the immediate aftermath if there was no transition period, while house prices could fall by almost a third.
The Bank of England also warned the pound could fall by a quarter. The Bank's analysis comes after the Treasury said the UK would be worse off under any form of Brexit.

The word 'could' renders the headlines as worthless.
Any words from the BBC and government serve their
agenda, not the electorate.
I wonder by how much the pound has devalued since
1973.

In a normal world, people fight for independence.
Remaining, in a bloc of 500m with an unelected mafia
government there is the distinct possibility that the
UK will end up being the 'debt dump' for EU Banks.
When interest rates rise, they buy the UK.
UK becomes another slave colony.

Do the arguments in this thread conform to EU regulations?
Article 13, has the potential to allow anyone, anywhere in the world, to effect mass, rolling waves of censorship across the Internet.
EU Copyright Directive.
Yeah, lets remain.

Many thanks for that DB, I feel awful now.
May she rest in peace.
Dear Helen, My piano playing is probably just as bad, but
making the effort is everything.

You clearly learnt nothing from our European friends. How sad.
If you are reduced to quoting Americans, please consider "Tear down that wall, Mr Gorbechov!"
Dear old Grouse, Tip the whole bottle in... your reading

Your form master was correct; it's a pity that you misunderstood his point!
Why do you often, so narcissistically boast of your
education, and believe that others are incapable of
comprehending such an 'advanced' concept as brexit.
Your argument is merely a 'stakeholders beef'.

You really can not believe in altruism; how sad for you
I'm 64. Nothing really matters to me personally but I do care about my greater family and the country where I was born and still have roots. Democracy only works if there is equality in education and access to information. It clearly would not work in the U.K. Which is why we have representative parliamentary democracy. The fact that you do not understand that after all this time tends to prove my point. Who did you vote for in the last election? CON or LAB? Have they been voting Brexit or Remain. That you had s vote is your democratic right. No more, no less.
Make no mistake, being educated does not guarantee
intelligence.
My old form master told me to remember that, 'its not only
cream that floats to the top'.

We should stay close to our friends. Mad to walk away
I wish we had leaders like that...
Like dictators leading the UK to a dystopian 2nd class colony.
There is a world of friends to be made beyond Brussels.
There is an old saying, Good fences make good neighbours.

We are being conned into a cashless society, what
a wheeze for the banks.
There is an opportunity to fight back with crypto,
and a little old fashioned bartering, using a lump

My problem is getting that lump.
