55555 I've just had time to catch up with my fellow posters' misspent youths. I was the same, a victim of three all male schools, 2 boarding. I wasn't bad, just rebellious which meant I was asked to leave from two of them, Better for the record than being expelled, I just 'left'. The suffocating atmosphere of boarding schools got to me and my friends and trouble followed.

I though I had left it all behind until a few years ago my mother phoned from England and just said:

' So was it you?'

'Was I what mother?'

' That Stephen Fry you went to school with has written his autobiography, he mentioned you and two of your friends by surname and said one of you introduced him to marijuana, so was it you?'

Thanks Stephen for dropping me in it all these years later. I've probably been written out of the will now to be replaced by the cats' home. My mother had always suspected I was prone to experimentation in my youth and now Fry was adding fuel to the fire. The cad, the rotter!
