Have you been back to the States lately? No been there in Three years but going in two months, Life in the US has got a lot more expensive in the last few years, a lot more expensive!! Before we all start getting upset over this lets wait and see how this plays out. Depending on the tax rate and at what level of income it kicks in , you could pay nothing and stay here. There are negatives to Thailand but also there are a lot of positives .

It all depends on how foreign income will be taxed in Thailand. Usually these tax treaties subtract the tax you pay in your home country, from the required tax in the country you are an expat. If the tax you pay in your home country is higher or equal to the tax in the expat country then you don't pay anything. But if the tax you pay in your home country is lower than the tax in the expat country , then you pay the difference. So if the tax rate in Thailand is lower than your home country you pay nothing, but if it is higher you will pay the difference. So let's wait and see how this thing plays out, One good thing that could come out from paying tax here, is that you might get some residency benefits. I would not mind some sort of scheme where we could use the Thai national insurance plan.

We are traveling in Europe and had the opportunity to go to an open roof, summer movie theater and see "Grand Turismo". Normally would not go to a movie like this , don't even go to the movies much,, but it was the only movie playing there and I did want to experience an open air movie theater. Watching a movie under a cool Mediterranean night shy was indeed a wonderful experience. But to my surprise the movie was not bad at all. If one has the opportunity to see it , I highly recement it.

Rather than me trying to explain a complex issue , Google , How is "Chat GPT different than a browser search" The short of it is that a traditional Google search scour every webpage in the internet looking for words that match your query and the algorithm prioritises , but it does not know anything . Chat GPT is like having a conversation with another person. It can tell you only what it knows, so if it has read only half a book, it cant tell you how it ends. Chat GPT id now in school , and has learned things up to a certain time, much like you in 4th grade not knowing things you learn in 6th grade. One thing to know about Chat GPT is that it is at it[s infancy and it's prone to errors. It experiences what it is called "Hallucinations" where it will give an answer not supported by anything it has learned yet. Not unlike many of the posters in this forum ???? At this point the input is manual by typing the information, but very soon you will be able to have a verbal conversation. Like you do when talking to another person, in fact , if over the phone , you will not even know it is not another person. So any information you get from Chat GPT is important that you verify it. There is a case where a lawyer asked about previous cases and used these references in court only to find out they did not exist (AI hallucinations) and got in a lot of trouble, Any way it is a very complex subject and not easy to talk about in any meaningful way is a sort forum reply. (now that was cute) In the US , and I think any civilized country, when someone is indicted, and meets certain baseline criteria, a person is released on bail until trial. The release is conditional, and such conditions are set at a bail hearing, if such person fails to adhere to such bail conditions, there is a hearing and based on the bail infraction either a warning is issued (one was already issued.), or punishment is issued. Punishments can range from incarceration at a state facility , to house arrest, with a few other options in-between. It is in a "Banana republic" that the above procedure is not enforced. and not the other way around as you argued. I mean think about it. If a crime against you was committed, and the perpetrator was arrested and released on bail, wouldn't you want some protections from such person? Wouldn't you want that such person was prevented from threatening your witnesses and yourself with violence if you testified against him? And if you do, which I think you would, how would you propose the system protects you from such person?

We just flew with Etihad, , we still have not come back.
