  1. Yea I think they start hearing argument Thursday , I have seen a few rebates from reputable sources on YouTube , and it should be interesting. I would not want to be in the position the justices are right now, but that's why they are being paid the big bucks.
  2. Thank you, I will give it a try, let us know how it goes for you. I am only familiar with grow tubes where the already started plants are placed and and nutrient water is sprayed on the roots periodically. allowing for them to also absorbed oxygen from the air. I am very interested in the udea and hope to learn more, so I would appreciate you thoughts.
  3. I am a Realist, and try to deal with what is, rather than what I wish it to be, Not always successfully. But I always think with the real possibility , that I could be wrong. After all I have been wrong in the past, why can't I be wrong now? 5555 sound full of myself right? Well... I ma, a work in progress, hope to get it right before I kick the bucket, but if not, there is always next try.
  4. I lan to save the biggest tomato for seed , do you think I should leave it on the vine until it is very ripe, or take it of the vine when red and let it get over-ripe on the self? I really need to watch a vid on YouTube , I would not mind sending you some seeds. I am not sure why I was successful this year. Part of the reason was timing, I started my seeds late october, so by the time my young tomatoes were ready to be put in my raised bed, it was dry and was getting a bit cooler. I also put green sunscreen fabric over it, I brought the seeds with me from our Greek vacation, so that might had something to do with it. We had caterpillars eating everything to the point that we had to spray. Yet nothing was touching these tomato plans , weird right? Right next to it I had string beans and they were being eaten alive!! Perhaps the string beans were the sacrificial crop. By the time they finished eating my sting been pant leafs they were so full they could not eat another thing anyway, its a learning experience for me, any advice or ideas is always appreciated.
  5. I would be interested to hear more about your system I have been told that the problem with some varieties of tomatoes here in Thailand, is the nematodes in the soil that the tomato plants have no natural resistance to, The Hydroponic system eliminates the soil. si there is that, But increases hydration . Initially I had a problem with some of my tomatoes, while in the green stage developing a black spot under them , I thought it was some sort of fungus , ot decease . What I found out was that neither of these things were true, but that I was overwatering , and that it disrupted the plants ability to absorbed calcium. There was plenty of calcium on the soil but the plant could not process it . I was told to cut down my watering to every three or four days depending how dry it was. So I am wondering how would hydroponics which depends on frequent watterings would work for tomatoes, If I understand hydroponics correctly there is a timer that delivers liquid nutrients for a short length of time, and then the roots are allowed to be in air to adsorb oxygen. am I correct? I really don't know much about hydroponics. I would not mind playing around with a beginner system if you know any.
  6. I like to say .That looks nice. I would, I really really would . Seriously . all that food has to do is taste good , and I am sure that tasted good, Just dont relay this story to a bunch of Sicilians or you could find yourself sleeping with the fishes .
  7. "fat mushrooms. " Why you could not find tinned mushrooms? At least you will never have an iron deficiency
  8. How did you ever make the move there? How did you get your wife to move? You re married? Wife grew up here, her family is here , though he dad and mom have passed away (very nice people) Sister lives next door to us, (nice girl and her husband) . Wife and sister have a blow out once a month. (I wonder why ) but other than that are always together. I could not separate them with a crowbar. I would love to be on your t side of the world. I love the see, it's in my DNA (Of Greek descent) I never lived further than a couple of miles from the sea . some time in the next few weeks we will take a ride to Kho Samui. or perhaps Kho Samet (a bit closer) Cant now got a bunch of things going. Finally got PEA to bring electric to our farm property , They should be none by the end of the week, then I got to have a meter bring electric to a small two room building we have there. Once I get that done......
  9. If it's the same place I found on google map , you could not be further , but I am jealous,I am up here because my wife is from here. And it's not bad, but it really looks nice down there.
  10. At your age I am sure there are many things you don't remember I can't remember seriously, it never occured to me. If I can't find ricotta I will give it a try.
  11. Thank you guys!! Both look great !!, I went on YouTube and found this recipe that looks good and easy. I have all the ingredients, I think it will be on the menu this week.
  12. Where are you, if you don't mind posting it. We have a huge Makro in Khon Kaen and a smaller one on the other side of town, I will look for it again when I go to the big one later today with the wife. It never occured to me to look at Tops. (not my favorite place) It would also be an option. They are building a big Makro on Mittraphap just past Lotu'ssssssssssssssss.Very close to my house. I can't wait until they finish . I will live there
  13. No it does he does not, you chose to rephrase it to meet your justification , he never said he can't wait to kiss them He said "I don't even wait. " what does he not even wait for. The jurors in the trial of the Jean Carroll where it was presented as evidence knew. but it seems you do not, or would not like to admit that you do. Good try. but I will not let you of the hook on that.
  14. Thank you for that. I appreciate taking the time to help me. Unfortunately I have a touch pad, and I am sure there must be a combination of gestures option that would accomplish a move to top. also I have the key combination of shift+ home , but both are a bit awkward to use for me. I was kind of hopping there was a way to restore the Asean Now forum button. I think the issue might be that you cant get to the bottom of the page anymore. I tried to do it, and it kept on adding advertisements.
  15. Breakfast of the Champions. Pad kra pao gai . My mouth is still on fire
  16. Thank you. That's not bad and the price is good. Unfortunately for me the closest Villa is about 2 hrs away in Udon Thani. I am in Khon Kaen/ A friend of mine from Udon Thani is in the process of moving his restaurant to a larger space, and will be reopening in a couple of weeks, and me and the wife will go there will be to support him. I will make sure to stop by Vila and get some, I'm in the mood for Lasagna.
  17. I beg to differ, You said that it does not bother you, "Does not seem like that big a deal to me, " But that's not what I asked you, is it? I asked you " what do you think he meant by " I don't even wait" In debating , the cardinal rule is , you never ask a question if you already don't know the answer. and I am sure you also know the answer, but you can't answered it because it will lead you to the obvious conclusion.
  18. A decision to remove him from the ballot would be a gift to trump!! He will not win in the general election anyway, so let the voters remove him. This will have the additional benefit of insuring a Democrat president. Removing him will force the republicans to offer a viable candidate, and will energise the maga crowd. You can bet whoever runs for the republicans will use it as a wedge issue. Since his election 2016 when has he won anything? If the supreme court removes him, especially if it is not a unanimous decision it would give him the opportunity to claim that this election was stolen from him also. And we will never hear the end of it.
  19. With inflation and vowels costing so much in Thailand people are more and more opting for words that have as few of them as possible.
