The would be, if the only consideration was US sales, unfortunately there are labor , environmental etc issues . Potato peelers too, but we are talking about EVs

Regardless of what you call it, it happens in Mexico. I know that there are certain percentage of part manufactured in North america to qualify for NAFTA . and a percentage of steel and aluminum, In addition there are requirements concerning Batteries and rare earths used in them to qualify for tax credits. I don't remember the specifics, but I remember reading an article about that. But regardless of all that , the three Chinese EV companies I mentioned are stopping for manufacturing/ assembly space in Mexico to circumvent tarifs. I am sure they know what the specifics are and would not be investing if they did not think they could qualify. I think the Vietnamese EV company Vin fast is setting up shop in North Carolina An additional point that might apply . I listen to a market analysis , and it was mentioned that the per unit EV production in China has not really increased, but the demand in China is decreasing as many people who would have bought an EV have already bought one. Consequently in order to grow Chinese EV companies are dumping in Europe and are eying North America .

UK Considers Aircraft Carrier Deployment to Red Sea as Tensions Rise

The military industrial complex would certainly love it. But There are huge special interests involved and I am sure there is pleasure on politicians to resolve this issue. Regardless of the lip service the US is giving concerning a two state solution, no such a thing is going to happen. Israel like most of the world has a birth rate problem, their problem is mitigated by the very large birth tare of the Orthodox community. It is projected that they be 20% of the population in the next 15 years . So don't listen to what the US says, look at what they do. And they just approved a 14 billion military package aid deal. That does not seem to me like pressure on Israel for a two state solution. So what remains? The petroleum industry will not tolerate the disruption of 5% of the worlds petroleum flow. Remember that at a minimum insurance on these shipments must be skyrocketing affecting the final price. They are predicting a $93 per barrel bench mark if conditions in Ukraine and middle east continue. And the Palestine issue will not be solved. One or the other has to give. And I think that one thing will have to one way or another be the Houthis -
The tariffs for imported Chinese EVs are 27.5% , to that combine that they do not qualify for the $7500 tax credit and you are looking at a huge premium I cant believe Chinese EVS have such huge profit margins that they can afford an over 30% haircut. Buy they might be able to circumvent this issue by making then in Mexico and bringing them in via Nafta . ( BYD, Chery, and MG) plus there seems to be some cooperation between BYD and Tesla, so there is another variable to look out for. The next couple of years would be interesting to watch

Speaking of KimChi . I like to make KimChi Jigae soup. So I go a bag of the chopped up Kimchi (two bags in the package) , and after I tasted it . it was good but had a different texture and tasted a bit different. So I looked at the other bag and it said Papaya kimchi. Grrrrr. So when we went to Makro I bought another package of two bag Kimchi. So a couple of days later I went to make some Jigae and guess what? D'ohh Somme I had gotten two more bags of the Papaya Kimchi, so now I am the proud owner of three bags of Papaya kimchi PS: I love Jigae but it's like a detox for me. a few hrs after I eat it, I sot on the toilet for an hour....

Both made by a dyslectic worker at Adidas Needles to say he is not working there any more. Rumor has it he is teaching English in Thailand. -
I make pile cucumbers, with those small cucumbers we get at Makro. and I made a big jar of pickled jalapenos. But I never tried to make sauerkraut. Does it taste the same as store bought? I will try to make some. I will look into the Natto thing.

I make the vacuum bug, (I am sure you do the same) a lot bigger than it needs to be,so that when I open it, I can take a portion to defrost and re-sheal the same bug. I don't know how I ever lived without the food saver machine. I bought a big bag of hordogs, a year ago, they are still as fresh as the day I bought them. Same with my cheddar cheese . Big block from Makro. sub divide it and vacuum seal it. I do the same with the Salmon stakes. "Where did you get sauerkraut. " I would love a rubben . Never heard of Natto . I googled it and got a bunch of returns from the Ukraine war, then I noticed that it was 2 Ts .

Good to hear it. Hope your bike is fixed essialy Some of these older trucks are so dangerous. Actually it's not the trucks as it is the newby drivers. His brakes did not fail. He light them up. A lot of the old 10 speeds , you can only change to a particular gear at a predescribed RPM. When you get in a steep downhill. you need to be in a low gear otherwise the truck picks up speed, and the RPM increases and you cant get in that low gear , so you start riding the brakes. In big down hills at night you can see them glow read. Once you light up the brakes the brake pads become slippery and dont hold. In the US they have exit rumps filled with gravel that lead to nowhere. In case you lose your brakes , You take that exit and the gravel slows you down , a few yards later ithe gravel is deep enough that you bugg down in it.

I hear you. Mine is a kitchen aid Artisan , I brought with me from the States, I forget what size tub, but only big enough for a couple of loves of bread. But I do make pizza dough , subdivide it. It gives me enough to make 8 pizzas 10 inch size. I put it in a small plastic container like the ones you buy at Makro, and then vacuum seal it with one of these food saver machines. It lasts for ever Those vacuum food saver machines are great.

Yea I think they try different products ito see how well they do

They don't have that (or I have not seen it) at our Makro I always want to write Makro with a "C" and then I have to go back and correct it. anyway, I have not seen that , but I have seen something similar. Yesterday when we were there I got the one below. I tried making my own, you know, make the butter with four, chill . make dough with butter also , use some sort of acid .( lemon). then toell the butter and dough together and fold. I tried once LOL , it was a pain in the .... and I made a mess. Much easier to buy some

Balcony collapses at Chiang Mai resort injuring 13

I dont trust insurance companies, especially here in Thailand where regulations are lax or not enforced. Their business model is to collect as much as possible, and pay as little as possible. -

Why , berceuse you like paying , but not collecting" "Scottish woman’s cliff plunge in Thailand sparks insurance debacle: Scot left hanging " " Scottish woman’s cliff plunge in Thailand sparks insurance debacle: Scot left hanging" Who writes this copy anyway? "Fell to her dearth " "left her hanging" -
What does that even mean? "It is normal" "trade practice "so no problem then unless one desires a abnormal trade relationship. I am sure he did not make that statement in English, and it might be a poor translation. I know he is not the brightest light in the Christmas tree, but even he, I dont think is that stupid. But if he did , in essence the is telling his manufacturers to suck it up and either work more or more cheap. In essence chase the bottom. Which is a strange policy if he is to do what he said he wants to do, which is to get Thailand out of the low wage trap.

I don't really have a squirrel at our farm, which, now that you mentioned it . makes me wonder why . because at our house not too far away I see them all the time. We cut the bananas down when they start ripening. otherwise the squirrels will eat a bunch of them. Strange that we don't have them at the farm where it is a more natural setting and on one side the are a lot of trees. I seen the poly tonnels for sale at Global House and at Lazada I am wondering if it might get too hot for tomatoes in them. If it might be a good idea to make one on your own with shade cloth. and 1/2 inch PVC pipes. https://globalhouse.co.th/product/Tree’Oโรงเรือนเพาะชำขนาด3x8x2M.รุ่น1HS0018-i.3922007041169?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAiP2tBhBXEiwACslfnt0G-7blTIdYTU8Z9GwXdxx6TplqpYoq0cNRhQrLan-iZJRuzRvYXBoCjTkQAvD_BwE https://www.lazada.co.th/catalog/?q=poly tunnel gardening
